The Priory is set in the most stunning location – with a private beach (Priory Bay) and beautiful grounds, including a slightly dishevelled looking golf course. Inside it has the feeling of faded grandeur. It just looks like it could do with a bit of love – but at the moment there is a slight feeling of fawlty towers about...

A beautiful hotel with fabulous sea views set amidst woodland grounds and a private beach. Accommodation comfortable, clean and well-equipped, faultless food and lovely, helpful staff. Log fires, charming ambience and unique history made this an unforgettable stay. Highly recommended for families or anyone who enjoys historic charm.

A hotel with a special setting and much history. We booked for 11 people utilising two rooms within the hotel and the tithe barn, all accommodation was of a high standard and well cared for. The Hotel has excellent public rooms again of a very high (almost Royal feel) standard. The Hotel is for sale consequently it would appear money...

I have a long standing association with The Priory - having gone there as a child and chosen it as my ideal place to get married in. It was so delightful to return again this summer to celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary. It has such a special feel with all it's history and beautiful views down to the sea, a...

My partner and i have just returned from a weekend away staying in a yurt within the grounds of this hotel. We had the most fantastic time and can thoroughly recommend this accommodation. Firstly, during the course of email exchanges prior to arriving at the hotel, it was clear that the staff are extremely pleasant, professional and keen to ensure...

We stayed at the Priory Bay as part of the Wedding Party. From our arrival the staff were extremely helpful. The barbecue on the beach was amazing, it feels like your own private, very special area, about a 5 minute downhill walk through the trees. Soft sand, lots of exciting areas for children to explore, even swimming in the sea...

This was our first visit to the Priory Bay Hotel and we loved it. The peaceful, indefinable, "feel" of an historic building (an old Priory) independently owned (not a chain hotel), with spacious, charming individually characterful rooms, sea and garden views, a "painted" dining room, quirky corridors, interesting sculptures and works of art - all created a sense of gracious...

My wife and I always stay at this hotel during our trips to the island. We truely cannot imagine staying anywhere else. The groups are stunning. The rooms are always perfectly kept. We always try and stay in the same room when possible as it has sentimental meaning to us but if this is not possible then all other rooms...

As everyone has said this hotel could be quite something, but currently in administration the hotel lacks direction and management. On arrival we waited for about an hour before the reception man could find the time to book us in.To be fair the food was good, but lack of staff meant long waits and lack of attention to detail. We...
