Stayed for 3 nights and two days over the weekend. The ambiance of the hotel is very relaxing, with a drawing and sitting room to read the newspaper, books and have afternoon tea. Walks along the beach are very much advised and in general the hotel is the perfect setting for spending time with friends, family and an electronic detox.... More

Stayed here for 2 nights this weekend - it was a surprise booked for my birthday by my lovely boyfriend and I could tell he was disappointed when we arrived which was really upsetting. Priory Bay hotel has a beautiful setting but is not well looked after at all. On arrival the gates were falling off their hinges and the... More

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at the Priory Bay Hotel. This was the venue for the wedding of our two dear friends and what a success it turned out to be OK the hotel is in need of some money spent on it but the place is beautiful with a wonderful atmosphere. We had problems with... More

The Isle of wight has its history stooped in Sailing, and as we all know a ships noting with out a great captain, a hotels much the same, with out great leadership, its crew/employees can never achieve what is expected of them. The Priory bay is one of the most out standing hotels i have ever spent the night at,... More

Despite the fact the hotel is struggling it is still in a beautiful location with lovely views and surroundings. The staff were all, without exception, wonderful. Helpful, thoughtful and eager to please. It's just little things like the peeling paint on window sills, worn carpet here and there, and lack of housekeeping skills that lets the hotel down. Of course... More

I had a lovely time at the beautiful country house hotel with my sisters! The staff are so kind, and the waiting staff make you feel like a total priority! Delicious food, beautiful views and excellent accommodation. I do hope the hotel advances through the summer as there is so much potential. I shall be sure to visit again soon.

The hotel is lovely. It has a nice garden with access to a wonderful beach - which is clearly the highlight of the hotel. The atmosphere is charming and cozy. The rooms are fine. Although I'm not an expert in hotel business, I have the feeling that it is slightly overpriced.

My niece got married and my family stayed at the hotel where the reception was held. We had exclusive use of the hotel and the wedding was a great success. Gorgeous views, lovely lawns, excellent food and the staff were discreet and helpful. The restaurant, terrace and gardens are excellent for hosting a summer wedding. We received a very friendly... Booked for lunch after two trusted recommendations but unfortunately we were the only diners and food was not up to scratch for £24 for two courses. The waiter did take on board our feedback and kindly adjusted the bill and of course it's very difficult to create an ambience and experience in an empty restaurant. The hotel itself has great... First visit was to look at a sample menu at reception, where the staff were very helpful & pleasant. I later phoned to reserve two for dinner on 28th April. Again very well handled. When we arrived, no one at reception. Rang the bell & waited. Gave up, found the dining room where three tables were occupied, but no staff.... More
