Lovely food, but expensive. Toilet needed tidying up. Easy parking and nice views. First left off of the ferry. Beautiful gardens, pleasant staff. Good range of sandwich, ciabattas and pub meals. Lots of tables in the garden. Will no doubt be back.

Me and my partner visited at 9.30 on the 7th of July. The service was so poor - I asked the lady if they had a vegetarian breakfast and she rudely said 'its traditional without the meat' and laughed, which made me feel really uncomfortable. We waited 23 minutes for our breakfast which seemed very strange considering we were the... More

Stopped here for lunch prior to return ferry crossing. Wish we'd been before as we would have eaten there a few times in our stay. I had the muscles, they were the best I've ever tasted. My 2 year old are the majority of them! The children's meals were very generous. The chips were home made. The sandwiches were very... More

Stayed here for 4 nights, we were in room 503 which was a large sea view room was nice and clean and fresh, there was some noise from downstairs, music in the morning etc, the bathroom needs a little tlc as the walls are showing signs of damp, the radiator and other bits (skirting boards) could do with a wipe... This is a great pub that stumbled across while waiting for the ferry, so much so we ended up staying on the island. They have an extensive list of great wines and specials. They also have rooms that you can rent, we sadly could t get in here however went to a sister hotel which was also great. Great staff... More

The Fishbourne Inn is conveniently situated next to the ferry port from Portsmouth which is approx.a 45min journey. Our room was spacious and well decorated with an en-suite bathroom. Ours was the last room of five situated on the first floor and looked out onto a private house's back garden. The room benefited from velux windows which provided extra light.... More

This is a nice building with good gardens, pleasant location but the food is very poor. We had a pork roast that had dried out potatoes, raw vegetables and the fattiest bit of meat I have ever had on a plate. My son had a steak which was way too tough and his chips were cold. It's very overpriced too.... More

If you are mainlanders, like us, stuck waiting for the ferry, you could do a lot worse than exploring 100yds past the terminal to The Fishbourne. We only popped in for a cup of tea and a latte, but the service was brilliant and so polite. The place is so clean, and set in peaceful surroundings. I cannot wait to... More
