An excellent Room, with fabulous views of the coast and the sea; Broadband Speed of around 30Mb ! Disappointing breakfast with a single minuscule sausage tasting of 'soap'. Public areas look tired and uncared for

Stayed 2-6 September. Travelled with my mum and 3 year old daughter. Needing some fresh sea air to finish off recovery after my daughter having major surgery we found the Albion. Over all our stay was ok. The building is beautiful, very tired and the decor is very dark. Found the layout a little illogical though! We had room 216,... More

This is really the only hotel of it's type on this end of the Island, so despite a scattering of negative comments on previous reviews we thought we'd try it and opted for one of the (huge!) balcony rooms with a spectacular view over the bay. The young lady on reception was extremely helpful, over and above the call of... More

Booked at relatively short notice so the only room left for the Bank Holiday w/e was a suite. This was, however, fortuitous as it was an excellent two-rooms (plus bathroom) complex with beautiful 180 degree views across the bay and not prohibitively expensive. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, the chaise-longe likewise, useful to have two TV's and the... More

A clean hotel is the main thing we look for. Sadly the room was not the cleanest as we found a razor cover and parts of the razor spread over the bathroom floor. The location is good but its very sad and not much investing has gone in to keep it up to scratch. Examples include the external paint, there... More

Just returned from a lovely weekend away at the Albion Hotel. I knew it was going to be a quiet weekend as things are on the Isle of Wight. The hotel was nice and the staff very accommodating. Room was spacious, great views. The only thing missing was a fridge. The breakfast was enough to start the day and the... More

I have stayed in this hotel 4 or 5 times over the past few years. Each year it has got worse. As a solo traveler I found it far more expensive than previous years and certainly not value for money which had to be paid in full 6 weeks in advance. I stayed for 10 days which was far too... More

Excellent location only!!! The rest is less than avarage. Bathroom looks like 50 or more years ago still with the two water taps in a bath tube, no flexible shower, no bide... The most impressive was the breakfast. I stayed in this hotel a few years ago and before coming I had a hope that I will find some changes... More

We really enjoyed our stay here, and would definitely recommend to other people. Some great views of the sea - especially if your room has a larger balcony. The bedrooms were spacious, beds quite comfy, bathrooms large. Towels/bedding isn't replaced every day - only after 4 days or upon checkout. I like to think this is an environmental initiative..... The... More

During the height of a hot August week we made the most of The Albion's immediate access to the sea, sand and hills. We walked to Brighstone and Totland. Despite our best efforts to 'dust down' we inevitably brought the beach indoors with us. Gratefully our large room was left impeccably sand free on a daily basis. Our bathroom was... More
