Excellent location only!!! The rest is less than avarage. Bathroom looks like 50 or more years ago still with the two water taps in a bath tube, no flexible shower, no bide... The most impressive was the breakfast. I stayed in this hotel a few years ago and before coming I had a hope that I will find some changes... More

During the height of a hot August week we made the most of The Albion's immediate access to the sea, sand and hills. We walked to Brighstone and Totland. Despite our best efforts to 'dust down' we inevitably brought the beach indoors with us. Gratefully our large room was left impeccably sand free on a daily basis. Our bathroom was... More

Two lime and soda's. Half inch of lime cordial topped up with rather flat soda from a plastic bottle ... £3.60 please. This place gets the prize for the most expensive L and S so far consumed by us in the UK. Don't mind paying a bit over for the view but this is a bit OTT in my opinion.

Booked a room on a well known comparison website, they money was taken straight away, not as I expected, after our short two night stay was finished. Hotel is a little tired with some of the furnishings. Nice overall atmosphere, you feel the owner is about to retire, as some investment could be made in repairing some damaged bar ceiling... More

Delightful location, good room, comfortable bed. Suite had two balconies overlooking sea - couldn't access one. Towels small/thin. Toiletries enough for 2 nights at a stretch. Cheap loo roll! Cooked breakfast good - limited buffet. Service variable/random - 'ran out of milk' 'toaster jammed' other items simply didn't materialise. Had dinner one night, didn't re-book. Warmer in sea than pool... More

This review is not a generic moan! The Albion in its day must of been a lovely hotel, but now think it's a very tired and dated hotel. We stayed in a family room for 4 with a double bed and 2 single, the room itself was ok!! Apart from one set of doors and windows did not open as... More

Staying here at the moment and have very poor initial impressions of the place. Despite having booked and paid for the room in FULL they still demand to take a copy of your credit card details including the CVV number on the back which they are simply not supposed to do. The fact that they are collecting this data unnecessarily... More

The entire "hotel" is completely uncared for. It is not a hotel. It offers no variety at all. The same 2 CDs play in the bar all day and evening, drinks are overpriced and the bar shuts at 10.30pm. The breakfast was so bad that by the 3rd day 3 of us had resorted to just eating toast. Everything was... More

We stayed in a family room at the cost of £1100 for five days. At arrival we went through the mandatory spiel then were told the heated pool was not heated due to a guest shampooing themselves in there. The hotel looked and felt tired with threadbare furniture and paint and plaster peeling, dated decor, duct tape holding down the... More

The Albion Hotel sits on the edge of Freshwater Bay and has some wonderful views of the cliffs, beach and the sea from many of the rooms. We had a room with a balcony so were able to take full advantage of this! Our double room was large and comfortable and had a king sized bed in it - it... More
