A one night stay on a mini Welsh road trip. Corridors look rather dated. Room was clean, but dated decor. Very good shower. Breakfast was rather insipid, undercooked, poor quality bacon and sausage. Expensive for what it is.

We visited as a group of 20 golfers for the fourth time in around 9 years and stayed for three nights. I have never been disappointed but if anything the menu has got even better, which for me is an achievement in itself. The staff are all very friendly and showed their professional side when dealing with 20 noisy pensioners.... More

We booked a family room and initially were happy with the room and we enjoyed the pool and spa facilities on site. However, after a meal, we retired to our rooms, and we could not believe the noise from the bar, TV blasting and volume of noisy drinkers, it was like our room was in the bar. This continued until... This hotel has quite a few staff all of whom were very helpful. In fact I think they were the best thing about the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble. The room we had (deluxe) was spacious with very comfortable king size bed ( twin beds with joiner actually, but not noticeable to us as we slept). The room was... More

I have stayed here a couple of times now because I find it is the only hotel around Hereford that has a good pool and gym. The rooms are clean, comfy beds and really friendly staff with a good local pub within the hotel which serves a good range of beers.

Just one night here was enough for us to want to return in the future. The welcome was warm and friendly, and the hotel is in a great location in a lovely, old-fashioned town. Our room was huge, bright, airy and very clean and comfortable, if a bit basic and definitely dated (brown is not an inspiring colour). It would... More

Just stayed here as part of a large walking group for 4 days. Set menu for evening meal but about 6 choices per course so lots to choose from. Food served very quickly and nice and hot. Breakfast has a selection of cereals and fruit but then you could choose whatever mix you wanted for cooked breakfast. The staff are... More

The hotel is a good example of small town hotel. The room we had (17) was fine but owing to quirks in the buildings geometry meant that the floors were not flat nor the windows straight; this is not a criticism but a plus point for individuality. My only minor gripe for the room was the thud of the bass... More
