We arrived late - car park half closed off so no spaces. Reception was unmanned but when Jamie came he was lovely. No fuss and showed us pool for am and our room. Was the hottest bedroom ever. We had the window wide open all night. The pool is clean and good. The hot tub is very hot and harsh.... More

The hotel is really nice and the staff are very friendly. It's a mixture of modern and old. The modern part is good with a Gym and Swimming pool. The old part has lots of character and is in a old market town. The food in the restaurant is well priced and is of a good standard. My room was... More

We stayed here for a night in October. In line with the other reviews we found the hotel a little dated in its decor but our room (a family room on the top floor) was spacious and very clean. We ate in the hotel and the food was fine and reasonably priced. The bar was a little rowdy but there... More

A great hotel and the swimming pool is as amazing as the photo. We were particularly impressed by the cleanliness and ambiance of the premises, as well as the helpfulness of the staff. We would recommend staying there and would definitely go back. I hope the hotel continues to be successful as it really does deserve to. Don't miss the... More

Just spent 2 nights at the Burton hotel. Before we booked hotel, like most we checked out reviews, was a little concerned as some weren't good, but after staying the 2 nights, we were so happy with everything, the first thing I've done when home is todo a review. We have stopped in the past, at some 4 and 5... More

Unavoidable circumstance saw us spend the weekend in this hotel. We were not left disappointed! Although slightly wary of its grey exterior, don't be fooled gentle travellers as within its doors hides a Tardis. Complete with bar, dining areas, indoor swimming pool and lovely rooms. Extremely noisy if you are not familiar to morning birdsong and a lovely selection of... More

Was booked into the hotel last minute by the company I was working for. A most pleasant hotel. Excellent staff, great food and good beer and wine. Even the house white (Pinot Grigio) was really very good. And they even had a £130 bottle of Dom Perignon for those CEOs or James Bond aficionados. My room was opposite the Clock... More
