Nice pub in the centre of Kington. Good range of beers served by one of the friendliest landlords you'll find. Very helpful and gave good advice on what beers to try. The pub has a decent sized lounge, separate restaurant, beer garden, car parking and a number of rooms above. Good for a night out.

From the outside this pub does not have any kerb appeal. On entering things visually are not much better, however, don't be put off. We were greeted by one of the most genuinely friendly landlords we have ever met. The locals were also friendly. We had a really delicious Sunday lunch, freshly cooked and plenty of it. For sweets we... More

Looking for a place to stay for one night after playing Kington golf course (dont miss out!) Rang up the previous day, and found the person on the end of the phone to be very pleasent, and friendly to talk to! (made you feel relaxed before you got there!) On arriving after the golf we entered the Oxford Arms to... More

I only tend to write reviews when I go somewhere that impressed me. We just went here as it was the nearest place to our hotel. When you walk through the doors it's like entering a place that's not been updated for 50 years. However the staff were wonderful, friendly locals round the bar, the beer was first class and... Pleasant stay at Oxford Arms. Very friendly landlord Fred (always seems to be on hand). The room did need a refurb - but it was spotless and the bed was really comfy with nice quality bed linen. We had food in the restaurant and that was excellent all in all a lovely stay at a quirky shabby chic pub. Kington... More

Visited here during the weekend while racing in Herefordshire. What a cracking little place. Great staff, homely feel. I'll definitely remember the place for next time. Very reasonable too. Great food and drink available. No negative comments really.

Eight of us walked Hergest Ridge from Kington and then had Saturday lunch at the Oxford Arms. The staff were friendly and welcoming and very kind to our black Labrador, even giving her a complimentary dog biscuit. The food was fantastic. I had the fish pie with fresh seasonal vegetables followed by proper sticky toffee pudding (made with dates) and... More
