We were in the process of completing the 177 mile Offas Dyke walk and our host made us feel very welcome which is always great after a long days walk. Susan was very friendly with tea and cake when we arrived and a great, healthy breakfast to set us up for another long walking day. I would definitely recommend to... More

We based ourselves at De Lacy House for 5 days walking Offa's Dyke with friends. It's in an ideal position for this with several reasonably priced eating places within walking distance. We were made very welcome by Susan who "went the extra mile" to make us feel at home. We particularly appreciated the tea and cakes offered to us on... More

We received the warm welcome we had come to expect on this walk accompanied by tea and cake on arrival. Damp clothes taken to boiler room for drying and newspaper provided for insertion into damp boots. Lovely and bright ensuite bedroom and guest lounge to relax in. This is the place to stay for an outstanding breakfast - the fresh... More

We stayed here for 3 nights while walking the Offa's Dyke path. Susan was a great hostess and made us feel very welcome. The room was great and we enjoyed the extras like the lovely bath and Radox muscle soak for after our walks, also the tea tray and cake when we got in every day, home made biscuits in... More

We were two couples who stayed overnight after finishing the walk from Hay on Wye to Kington. Susan gave us a warm welcome and - best of all - she quickly provided a top dollar tray of tea with excellent cake and Millionaire's shortbread. We had the double bed with adjacent bathroom which was all very good and comfortable. It... More

Very comfortable B&B with a friendly hostess. There are only two guest rooms but they have the use of a lounge as well. One is en suite and the other has a bathroom next door. Excellent breakfast. Several options to eat out in Kington in the evening. All in all, a good place to stay if you are walking in... More

The landlady was very welcoming allowing us to leave our luggage before a full day's walking. On arrival we were welcomed with tea and cake. The rooms were well furnished with lovely towels and bed linen. Breakfast was a banquet with porridge or cereals, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt followed by a lovely cooked breakfast with lashings of tea. The B&B... More
