My friend and I went to the battle proms at Hatfield house. I had booked the hotel as it was very near. We arrived at lunchtime on a very hot day. The idea was to have lunch before we went to the venue. Well, the hotel bar and lobby area was so hot it was uncomfortable, no chairs and tables for... More

All excellent, good food, friendly Staff, all good. Tony the food manager, when will your Sri Lankan curries be on the menu? Stayed there due to Travel Editions holiday, for Elizabeth 1st, I am sure they will be back.

This hotel is within walking distance of the University of hertfordshire so very convenient. I stayed one night in a large room with a very comfortable bed, a lounge area and a large bathroom. Although it is near the A! it was very quiet, no traffic noise at all. Breakfast was ample, you can order more from a menu on... More

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights as part of a Travel Editions package which included half board. We ate in the function room, with a set menu, for two evenings and off the A La Carte for the third. The food was tasty and though the A La Carte menu is limited, it is good value. Breakfast was... This hotel is clean tidy good communal areas, rooms are good. Breakfast was sufficient but had better for the price. Why be warned? Simple, I would not let my child go into the bathroom on their own. The hot water is scaldingly hot, really dangerous. They would make it safer and increase their profit margin, if they turned it down... More

I stayed for two nights. The rooms were clean and spacious and the staff very friendly and helpful. It would have got another star but for the fact they were clearing breakfast up around me - still 3/4 of an hour to go - which made me feel uncomfortable. I also saw one of the staff look at a fork,... More

I stay here each week and have done so now for a long time, the only comment I would make is some rooms are really good, some are really bad. Don't stay in 106, it is on the ground floor right opposite the smoking area at the back, it is a dark room and can be quiet noisy with a... More

We stay at this hotel every year for Slam Dunk festival in May. The hotel staff are always very welcoming and accommodating of our requirements and the rooms are clean and large. Overall, the prices are pretty good. We have booked the executive suites several times for less than a standard double and they are much larger with more refreshments,... More

When we arrived we where well greeted our room was on the first floor , the room was spacious and well decorated and the bed comfortable that was the good parts . The restaurant had been recently redecorated unfortunately in very drab colours, the service was very slow due to I believe them being new possibly as I haven't seen... More

Stayed there for one night and I have to say this place is asking for refurbishment. Whilst the staff is very friendly, the rooms as well as the restaurant are not good. Try to find alternate accommodation in the area.
