Cute Pub along the way. We stopped in the evening for a final night cap. Great atmosphere and service was excellent! Quaint, cute British pub in downtown , wonderful experience, I would recommend for drinks.

I've been recently back there with my wife for those amazing ribs they used to heve. After we sat down we found out that the pub is under new management and there are no ribs which we knew anymore. We decided to have only a drink. When checking the menu we been just terified of the new prices. A burger... More

OMG - what a hole!!! Easy my worst stay anywhere on business and a complete con for £90 a night - please do not go there - the sooner this place goes bust, the better for everyone. The pub seems to be run as a landlady benefit - no customers to speak off yet thumping dance music or karaoke until... More

I will rate the room, not the pub. The rooms are next door to the pub, connecting building. The separate entrance give a degree of freedom. As soon as you walk in, the carpet and wallpaper is grotty and grim. It does not give a great impression. As you walk up the stairs, there is an animal cage under at... More

This pub had been going downhill for a couple of years and had lots of short temp landlords covering it after the previous landlady left. The brewery has no intention of investing in it as it is waiting on approval to do a refurbishment. However the latest landlords, lovely couple, are really making a great success of it. Food is... Booked in here by work and specifically asked them to check if breakfast is served which they said it was so annoyed to arrive and find it isn't. They also don't serve food Sunday night. Room and bathroom dirty, hairs in sink, chair looks about to collapse. The bed does look clean and comfortable. Noisy because it faced main street... More

This pub is tatty in public areas. There is no wi fi to speak of unless you go down to the grubby bar. The bedding and towels were clean and the room well furnished but covered in s layer of dust . The headboard I'd liken to a fur coat on top of it in dust !! No information pack... More

Oh my god!!!!! Recently stayed at the old Cock in only to find new tenants had taken over. Rooms were dirty. Landlord was ignorant. Couldn't sleep for the disco blaring. Food and beer was awful. What a dump. Don't know what happened to niki and steve but Charles wells should get them back and fast. I've never seen such a... More

We came here on Sunday 12th June 3 pm and ordered drinks fully expecting there was food as well as they are advertising food from morning till late everyday and Sunday roasts between 12 noon and 4 pm. This turned out to be a load of ...as per the name. Told there was no food on, never mind Sunday Roast!... More
