We booked into Ryehill Cottage for three nights. The house is brimming with character, and the furnishings are exquisite. The garden is beautiful and we took afternoon tea by the pond. Jenny and Richard are both extremely hospitable. Jenny produces the best breakfasts we have ever eaten. In addition, Poppy, the dog, adds to the charm. We unreservedly recommend this... More

Just returned from a three day break with my husband and mother and what a wonderful break it has been. We were instantly made to feel welcome into the beautiful home of Jenny and Richard (and Poppy the dog!) which is so comfortable and full of charm. Slept like a log in the lovely soft bed then treated to a... More

We stayed for a couple of night at this gorgeous B&B. It was a tranquil haven to relax and unwind and within easy walking distance of the nearby village of Beaulieu. Jenny, Richard and Poppy the dog made us feel very welcome. A special mention to Jenny for her breakfast feast! Would highly recommend for a peaceful weekend away.

We stayed for one night on the 3 August and would have loved to stay longer. Penny and Richard made you feel very welcome in their adorable home ( Must not forget Poppy the dog also). What an amazing home this is retaining so much original character but at the same time refurbished to a very high standard. The bedroom... More

Jenny and Richard were very welcoming to their lovely home. The room was cosy, my bed was very comfortable, lots of toiletries for use and a good shower room opposite. Breakfast was fabulous! I had scrambled egg and smoked salmon (I couldn't manage a big breakfast, which was on offer). There were fruit, two types of muesli and home made... More

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in September. We were welcomed on arrival by Jenny and Poppy the terrier. We then sat outside on the patio with Richard having a very welcome drink. The house is beautiful and the breakfast is out of this world. Where else can you eat breakfast by candlelight ? The beds are... More

I've just stayed in this wonderful family home and really didn't to leave. On arrival Jen (and poppy the dog) were very welcoming and within seconds we were sat within this beautiful home, enjoying a nice drink and view of the beautiful garden. I was surprised how easy it was to reach for such a remote surrounding. Despite the home... More

Other than to repeat what everyone else is saying here. If you want to stay in an old thatched house, but one that is furnished to to a very high standard, with a fabulous host. Then look no further. Fabulous location, great breakfast that made us feel like Lords of the Manor and the high light of having wine sitting... More
