I would definitely stay here again, the rooms were good with every amenity you could need. We stayed in both the main house and the Henry Adams wing when we were there and I must say that the newly refurbished rooms in the Wing were nice (albeit smaller) than the main house. The breakfast was lovely too, with the best... More

The good aspects of this hotel are its location (lovely and peaceful) and the staff who were extremely friendly. Another plus for us was a bath rather than just a shower which was lovely. Nice White Company shower gel etc and it was great to have fresh coffee making facilities rather than just instant. The food was of a good... More

The Master Builders House Hotel is in the most fantastic location over looking the water and is very friendly and welcoming. The view from our room was stunning. The décor in the room was a little tired and could do with a refurb which apparently is on the House agenda for the near future. The House has a very relaxing... More

Lets start with the positives. Beautiful location, the hotel has lots of character and beautiful decoration. A real experience. I think it was slightly let down by the overall service. 1) Basic information was not available. The hotel is in the New Forest, on the Beaulieu River next to the Solent. I asked for the tide tables for the area.... More

The location of this hotel is marvelous, but it is very tired and dirty, and therefore not meeting expectations based on the amount you have to pay. The doors feel sticky - especially in the public toilets, they are very unclean, covered in cobwebs and more startling I found myself in the ladies witnessing a female member of staff exiting... We stayed in a "chic" room which was quirky but a bit tired. One blind was broken and only pulled up one side which blocked the view, the other was tied up so could not be lowered at all. Shower was impossible to keep at a constant temperature, either too hot or freezing cold. First night the meal in the... More

I'm sorry to say that despite the pictures and the reviews this hotel needs a bloody good clean. We couldn't check in until 3pm which was a pain because we had a wedding to attend. So we didn't get to check in until we got back at 1am. By this time, it was too late to complain. I felt physically... More

Wow location, staff seriously need customer service training, not their fault but management. Poor service and long waiting, what a shame for such a beautiful area. Not enough staff to service the demand resulting in many unhappy customers. Why shut down food in the garden on a beautiful sunny day when that is clearly where your customers want to be,... More

Very welcoming and attentive staff, service was quick and pleasant despite two fairly large parties. The food was very good and nicely presented. This was a wedding anniversary night out and we really enjoyed ourselves.
