Great Inn, good location and food, Room rate???. What happened to the room rates??? I was allocated Room 1, booking was made by others. On check out was told room rate for room was £150.00 for single occupancy and breakfast. Somewhat shocked paid with my credit card. Discussed cost with others in our party, same room rate but one had... More

We had a lovely long weekend with our dogs at The Greyhound. We stayed in a leet room, which was perfect for the dogs as we could shoot off out when we needed to. Food in the pub was excellent and the service was lovely, the staff were so friendly and helpful. We would definitely go back to the Greyhound... More

Lovely spot, great service and great food for a reasonable price. The lamb was a superb choice and not a small meal at all. Already planning a return trip and will try and coincide with Barrel's 41st! ;-)

My husband and I visited the Greyhound for dinner after seeing it featured on Countryfile recently; we were both very eager to try the carpaccio! The staff were very welcoming and the food arrived promptly, even during what looked like a very busy evening service. The whole place has a really charming atmosphere and the chateaubriand we shared was perfectly... More

This really is a gem of a find. Very good food lovely staff and they have rooms to collapse into .some very pretty walks are to be had alonge the River Test, watch anglers flyfishing and just breath in the calm soft air. Try it.

We'd heard great things about this pub. Booked for a family celebration on a Saturday evening. Arrived on time and before it got busy, but once seated our table was ignored in favour of other tables which arrived after us. We had to ask for menus, they hadn't been printed! Ask for water and to place our order. Hour and... More

This is a lovely pub inside and maybe we caught it on a bad day. But the bitter was flat, very cloudy and smelt off, so I took it back for something else. The young barmaid changed it for a different bitter, having given the first one a quick sniff! This was also flat and rather strange tasting so I... More

Friday night dinner with my wife and daughter at the Greyhound Stockbridge. Service was friendly but very slow and the food over priced for what was nothing more than average pub grub. Over cooked pasta that was also to spicy to eat and a burger that didn't even cover the circumference of the bun it was served in. £27.00 for... More
