The White Horse Romsey is a jewel in Hampshire's crown. Lovely, well appointed rooms with exceptional coffee making facilities. The food is excellent with some fantastic choices made from local produce. If there is a down side there is no lift to the bedrooms but the staff are always on hand and willing to help. Also its a great base... More

I visited with my daughter and son for a pre-birthday lunch for my son. The service was superb as was the prosecco and Langley's gin, an excellent recommendation by the waiter which my daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed! The food was also excellent although I think they are missing a trick by not having a better vegan option than olives... More

Got a late booking for Romsey's Beggars Fair. On previous visits I had noticed this establishment which has retained its probably late middle ages coach house exterior and I presume it is 'listed'. A beautiful single en-suite room was there for me and I was expected. ,Signed in and unpacked within minutes. There are a couple of large comfy lounges... More

I booked this place through Hotels.com and I was pleasantly surprised. Although there is no parking at this hotel there is public parking behind the hotel (took me ages to find) which is only chargeable from 8.30am - 4pm so for an evening stay you could effectively park for free. The hotel is very well appointed and has a bar... More

I stayed one night in room 405, a snug double. It had a lot of French charm and the added bonus of a lovely balcony with table and chairs (shame about the weather). Complimentary water, bathrobes and slippers plus a decent selection of good quality tea made this a very pleasant stay. This room is in the old coach house... More

We only ate in the Brasserie and on entering the main hotel entrance it wasn't clear which way to go for the Brasserie but after a few minutes wait we were shown, the tables are nicely spaced out and the only slight thing that would have improved them would be to have tablecloths on all the tables and not just... Dear Guest Thank you for your review. The Brasserie has a contemporary atmosphere which we feel is enhanced by the natural wooden flooring, solid wooden tables and leather high backed chairs so to add too many cloths would we feel detract from this but thank you for your comment. Our menus are very competitively priced sourcing high end products from... More

Excellent!!! Great staff who were very welcoming from the start. We had booked a private dining area for my aunts birthday and were not disappointed. Great selection of food and drinks no long waits between courses and I can honestly say that the whole group enjoyed the day. Well done and thank you for making the day so fantastic for... More

Evening meal in the brasserie. Below average service. Food good - not exceptional. Pepper cruet found to be empty. No apology, just handed a full one. No reason to return. Why would we? Obviously short staffed.

Dear Guest My apologies that your recent visit appears to have been well below par. Your criticisms have been discussed with my Brasserie manager and I can assure you that this was an isolated incident. I do hope you will reconsider and make a return visit. Best wishes More
