Having a three night business trip to Romsey. The White Horse is a nice hotel with comfortable rooms. So far so good. The restaurant on the other hand might need a bit of attention. It's fairly easy to make food comments to waiting staff regarding under/over cooked food, but you can feel hugely self-conscious to make a comment on portion...

Pleasant staff.Overall the food was quite good but waiting staff were mainly lacking in training to the level of standards the hotel would like.Very meagre portions of veg and potatoes. We would have liked roast potatoes.

I booked The White Horse Hotel's Afternoon Tea at 3.30 to celebrate my friend's birthday, using a voucher given to me for my own; nearer the time the hotel sent an email reminder and courteously advised that the room should be vacated by 6 o'clock, which I though was helpful and informative. It was a chilly afternoon so we were...

Just one double room available when we booked - called a "snug". Absolutely delightful and had everything we could have asked for plus things that we specifically asked for such as feather pillows and sheets/blankets - not duvets. Very quiet - modern and cosy. Staff a real joy - could not have better looked after anywhere - friendly - kind...

We went to the White Horse for a celebratory Sunday lunch and the whole experience was excellent. The dining area is a light and airy modern room at the back of the hotel and we had a pleasant table for two next to the windows. The menu is very varied - there are some nods to the traditional British Sunday...

We went to the Brasserie for lunch, having booked on line (and got a reminder which was helpful). From the moment we arrived we were warmly greeted and well looked after by all staff but Sean and Clare were our main servers. Sean was excellent, and knew his stuff! The Brasserie is spacious and enticing. We had booked an early...

Fabulous food, exquisitely cooked and presented, great service. Our son booked this on the strength of the reviews and what a wonderful experience, what a great team! We all thoroughly enjoyed the evening and look forward to our next visit. What a gem....just try it!

A very disappointing and unsatisfactory experience whilst attending Afternoon Tea on Friday 4th November. I booked Afternoon Tea a couple of weeks ago for my mothers birthday, after looking at the reviews and photos online. Firstly, I want to make it clear that I am easy-going, and rarely complain or even write a review. We were booked for the 3:30...

My wife and I received a gift of afternoon tea for two at The White Horse Hotel Romsey. This is not normally how I would spend my time, but what an experience it turned out to be. The setting we were in was like going back in time. The staff waiting on us were polite and attentive and explained what...

Four of us met up this week for our first visit here and had a really enjoyable lunch in a lovely restaurant room. Food and drink were excellent and the service by young friendly attentive staff was top noch . Totally recommend . nb only drawback here is the lack of on site parking .

Dear Guest Thank you for your complimentary review. I am delighted you enjoyed your lunch with us. The public parking around Romsey is plentiful, cheap and within 5 minutes walk to the Hotel, there is also a 15 minute drop off at the front of the hotel. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Best wishes
