Went for luchtime meal on Boxing Day and were very disappointed at the average food, poor service and lack of atmosphere. Have been many times before and this experience demonstrates that the previous high standard and pride in the hotel/restaurant has dropped. Is the White Horse now trading on its laurels? Romsey lacks a good quality restaurant and previously this...

Have visited for afternoon tea before and was a little concerned that we were being served in the bar area as usual part of hotel was being used. However, had a delightful time in this bright, modern bar. The table was laid out with a crisp, white table cloth and the usual attention to detail was evident. It was a...

I love this place to meet friends for coffee. Prices very competitive with local /multi chain coffee houses but much nicer service. Lovely courtyard to sit outside when weather permits. Afternoon tea is also very special

My friend and I came here for lunch last week and I think it was the best meal I have had for a long time in a restaurant. The service is excellent, delightful people polite without being over the top. We had a simple lunch just a main with a drink but it was enough, it was served attractively and...

We had a private room for a festive lunch with our Senior Directors. The ambiance, the food and the location were just the ticket! In a quaint part of Hampshire. Staff were efficient and pleasant! Food was good and well presented.

We've been to TWH in Romsey a few times now, despite not being that local. It's a lovely old 16thC coach house with an elegantly decorated Brasserie that serves very well prepared local food that is presented well. Four of us ate for about £130 with drinks & wine which we thought was very reasonable given the quality of the...

My family and close friends visited the brasserie on boxing evening for a pre-booked meal. The food was excellent and the staff at this stage were very accommodating. We left the brassie and ventured into the bar for a drink before leaving. Unfortunately this is where the experienced seemed to deteriorate somewhat. The very accommodating member of staff who looked...

We have just returned from a very peaceful Christmas break at this hotel. The staff were courteous and very helpful. My only complaint? There was so much to eat over the holiday! The room we had was warm, clean and comfortable. The only noise we had was from a very inconsiderate family in the room above but that could happen...

Having a three night business trip to Romsey. The White Horse is a nice hotel with comfortable rooms. So far so good. The restaurant on the other hand might need a bit of attention. It's fairly easy to make food comments to waiting staff regarding under/over cooked food, but you can feel hugely self-conscious to make a comment on portion...
