A Sunday morning walk around the lovely Hampshire town of Romsey was topped by our family visit to The Brasserie in the White Horse Hotel right in the centre . Parking on the street was easy although the nearby car parks are very convenient. We were greeted by friendly reception staff and shown into a very light and airy dining...

I was treated to a nights stay and meal for Valentine's Day by my other half yesterday. The room was amazing, such small things made it extra lovely. The staff were all great and check in was easy. We then went to dinner. We were seated and given water. It then took 30 minutes for us to even be asked...

We attended a family party in one of the suites. The food was delicious and the service was attentive. I was particularly impressed with the effort the staff went to to accommodate special dietary requirements due to allergies. I was able to eat almost exactly the same as everyone else and was reassured that my food had been prepared separately...

We stayed for 3 nights as attending a wedding at Romsey Abbey. In comparison to other UK hotels we've stayed in, this was just pretty expensive for what it was! Hotel was perfectly comfortable and clean, and the staff were pleasant. Location was good for popping out into town and was clearly ideal for the wedding; was a bit of...

We were all very impressed with out meals and the level of service offered. In fact my wife and I had considered staying the night but thought the room rate a little expensive (double what we actually paid). On retrospect it might have been worth it if the rooms are was well presented as the bar and dinning room. The...

Dear Guest Thank you for your review. I am delighted you all enjoyed your meal at the hotel although the fillet was a little overcooked for which I apologise. We hope to see you again. Best wishes

Wonderful place to visit, it has a delicate and relaxed atmosphere that does not forgo the history of this setting. The food was incredible, and for three courses, a drink and table water, the bill was pleasantly surprising, given the attentiveness of the staff there. I will be returning :) I wish I took pictures, but I really wanted to...

We celebrated Burns Night at The White Horse and I have to say it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The food was of a very high standard, the service was exemplary and the atmosphere lively and fun. Would highly recommend for a fine dining experience.

Everything about this hotel is excellent, an example of how it should be done. Rooms should always be clean and comfortable, bathrooms spotless etc as ours was here but clearly there has been a major investment in the staff. Professional and friendly in all areas-Reception, Bar, Brasserie etc. Good value for money as well

Went for luchtime meal on Boxing Day and were very disappointed at the average food, poor service and lack of atmosphere. Have been many times before and this experience demonstrates that the previous high standard and pride in the hotel/restaurant has dropped. Is the White Horse now trading on its laurels? Romsey lacks a good quality restaurant and previously this...

Dear Guest I can assure you that we are still the same team who pride ourselves on high standards and strive on a daily basis to maintain and indeed improve The White Horse and all it has to offer. Your experience leading up to, during and after Boxing Day is far cry from our our usual performance and one I...

Have visited for afternoon tea before and was a little concerned that we were being served in the bar area as usual part of hotel was being used. However, had a delightful time in this bright, modern bar. The table was laid out with a crisp, white table cloth and the usual attention to detail was evident. It was a...
