We recently had our wedding here and the venue and staff were absolutely fantastic, completely professional and they worked so hard to make sure we had a great day. All of our guests were impressed with the rooms they were given, particularly the good value of the rooms and the staff went out of their way to ensure as many... More

We stayed Friday and Saturday night at the hotel as we were attending a family wedding. The setting of the hotel is beautiful and the building is magnificent- perfect as a wedding view. Our rooms were in the courtyard and we're comfortable, with convenient parking just outside. We were able to have our dog with us in our room which... More

The wedding itself was fine. The wedding was at 2pm, but when my partner and I turned up, we were lucky in the fact our room was ready to check into! NOT impressed that our room was used for the photographer to take a picture of the wedding party without asking us for permission to enter the room! The bathroom... More

Wouldn't stay anywhere else local, food menu could be better but breakfast is excellent and the staff go out of their way to make me feel welcome. If you stay here try the shoulder of mutton for food Adding characters as this stupid thing wants 200 words

I stayed 1 night for business, over a very hot spell. The main building and grounds are magnificent. However the meeting rooms were stifling, no air con. Similarly the bedrooms were stuffy and for some colleagues unbearably hot - again, no air con. The rooms themselves (not just mine but colleagues) were a little tired - not in keeping with... More

I recently held a sales meeting here with 40 people. Food varied from buffet's to BBQ's to Fine dining. The rooms are very varied, to amazing wow rooms inside the house to Travelodge style functional rooms in the training area. The grounds are amazing and every person who attended will go home with memories of the event. The service between... More

Lovely grounds and wonderful staff all very friendly and nothing was any trouble. The food was very good esp. taking into account the number of people they were catering for. It's an interesting place. I think I must have got one of the last rooms, it really was hugely disappointing and the corridor smelt of damp, make sure you get... More

This "dogfriendly" hotel does not allowed dogs in the main building, the bar or the restaurant. Traveling with a dog means you are put up in an auxiliary building. Unfortunately the auxiliary building has also the acoustic of a building that age. When someone moves through the house you can hear that in every room, this drives even a relaxed... More

On Friday June 10th my Daughter held her wedding here. I stayed the night before and the night of the wedding. It's hard to find words to describe just how fantastic the day went. The planning, the ceremony, the drinks and canapés, the reception and the evening game me the best day of my life and I couldn't have had... More

I stayed here for a wedding. The building is spectacular, the food was great, the hotel is was kept and it was surprisingly cheap. I know I was there at the quiet season (January) and got a wedding rate, I was still charged only £65 for room and breakfast.
