Can't complement the staff enough, all so friendly and helpful, in the hotel, bar and breakfast room. Cooked breakfast was truly amazing, quality ingredients, freshly cooked, bacon was unbelievably good. And they had marmite. Garden room was lovely with its little terrace. Bed was very comfortable and shower was excellent and a nice deep bath to boot. Only criticism was... More

I was offered this hotel through a client as my work schedule takes me to new and exciting places. The Hotel is a 3 star, and the prices are reasonable. Rooms are okay clean and functional no problems. Restaurant is really good .. I was not fortunate enough to enjoy one of the jazz shows which is obviously a theme... More

We stayed as we were having a family get together. My brother made the booking and what a nice place. The rooms are the usual hotel fare, but I was pleasantly surprised at the bed. A lot of hotel beds are either too hard or past their best. A good night's sleep was had. There didn't seem to be any... More

Would highly recommend the hotel good value excellent rooms and staff and good location. The breakfast was very good with a lot of choice from high quality produce. We could not fault the Hotel and would definitely go again. It might be worth checking to see if the marquee is booked at the time you plan to stay as it... More

I meet a friend for lunch here on a regular basis and find the food of high quality and excellent value for money. They have introduced a lunchtime menu du jour which is two courses for £10 or three courses for £12. I had the most delicious risotto I have tasted in a while and a poached pear for pudding.... It is very unfortunate that building regulations have changed over the years which means that stud work walls are not enough insulation from your neighboring guests noise. It was a shame as the beds were really comfortable and everything was clean but the rooms could do with updating and painting. Breakfast was really lovely and the staff were polite and... More

We booked the full cruise package which included overnight stay, 2 course dinner for two, taxi to and from the port and car parking for our car for two weeks - all for £199. This was exceptional value. The reception team were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and functional. The dinner gave plenty of choice and was tasty.... More

We stayed at the hotel whilst visiting my daughter at University of Southampton. The hotel is close enough for easy visits to the halls of residence she is staying in, but far enough away to ensure a peaceful stay. The hotel is set back from the main road, so no traffic noise even with the window open. N.B. There was... More

Visited the hotel for two nights to see the Osmonds perform in the Concorde Club. The twin room although fairly small was clean and well equipped. The one problem i had was that there was no useable plug by the bed for using my CPAP machine but this was soon rectified by the prompt delivery of an extension lead. Although... More
