This is a very special and rare place. Everything has been considered. The decor, service, food and surroundings are the kind of thing you hope for. Thanks for making our anniversary stay extremely memorable and something we hope to repeat before too long.

Wow! Four family members on holiday in the Forest of Dean, we ate inside in this historic building but equally outside their lovely patio garden looked amazing. Outstanding food . Locally sourced farm quality produce. Starters included a fabulous Rabbit confit, really tasty fish soup & the vegan choice Wye valley asparagus. Mains included a beautiful Gloucester Old Spot Belly pork, fab Stone Bass plus a tasty vegan risotto. Puddings equally fab. In a quiet village the chilled vibe extended into the restaurant, and with attentive, friendly service, a perfect meal.

This was a fantastic location with great facilities and a wonderful evening meal . Just what we needed to blow away the January blues .The facilities were excellent and the Bath was well worth the upgrade . The restaurant is nice and cosy with a very personable feel where the staff were welcoming and freindly.

We have just returned from a fabulous 2 night stay at this little gem of a hotel. The staff are wonderfully welcoming, the rooms and ambience are relaxing and the food is fantastic! There are great walks from the door, and nearby. We will definitely be back as the outside space looks beautiful for a summer’s evening. Thank you for making our stay so lovely.

Dear Rachel E, delighted to hear you enjoyed your recent stay so thanks for leaving this lovely review. We spent a lot of time during lockdown making the cottage garden welcoming (there wasn't much else we could do!), so we hope you'll be back to make the most of the garden and explore our beautiful region.
