Visited here recently for a concert at the pavilion.. perfect place to stay in that respect as it is across the road. Hotel had a nice feel. Spacious bar with tables at the front with good views. Breakfast was lovely, plentiful and good quality hot food buffet. My only negative comment relates to our room. 105. Very small and bathroom...

We use the hotel a couple of times a year as it's right by the Westcliff Pavillion and ideal to stay there if you are going to see a show. It's literally a two minute walk to/from the hotel to the Pavillion. The hotel is indeed a bit tired. It's an old building and the new owners (MGM?) have freshened...

We love the location of the Westclliff, it's beautifull located on a cliff and you can reach the sea through a nice park. The staf is very friendly and helpfull, the room was neat and the bathroom spacious and we've had a very nice view. We've had a nice breakfast and an excellent diner.

Can't live on a view... some serious changes need to be made if this hotel is to survive in today's market It's dated, tatty, the decor looks like no one has given thought to any colour or style and the lift is a real problem; it's too small and situated badly.... no two people can cross in the corridor and...

We stayed in room 105 for a friends 50th birthday at the cliffs pavilion. 1st we used the toilet and it overflowed back into the bathroom.disgusting. Then we could not sleep as the paper thin walls allowed to hear noise from adjoining rooms. In the morning my husband used the shower which did not drain and overflowed into the bathroom....

Dear Madame We are disappointed to hear that you had trouble with the plumbing in room 105 especially as with one call to reception team could have rectified this situation immediately, with either a room move or a 15 minute visit from the maintenance department. This room has a macerator and whilst regularly serviced, if this is abused by too...

First I should start by saying I did not pay or choose this hotel. I had an airbnb related problem meaning I had to stay in a hotel and the landlady sorted it for me. However, I did hear that it was £85 for a room with breakfast. I was 'upgraded' to a superior double purely because there were no...

“Sea view exec is very nice indeed”
PAULN529, 5 days ago | Read review
“We felt the hotel is tired; it desperately needs an overhaul; very dated 80s decor and mixed badly The breakfast was of poor standard, we travel a lot and I would rate the breakfast very low, plus both mornings the staff was playing Michael bubble Christmas songs, in April? Very odd.. ; however, the evening meals were lovely so makes me wonder if it's a different kitchen to breakfast? The LIFT desperately needs changing... it's too small for a hotel and located in a terrible position, someone really needs to look at the logistics of the lift and it needs money spent on it The view of the hotel is beautiful and you should really make some changes to the hotel to bring the young in... I felt like I was on a saga holiday ”
