The Trinity is a lovely place, simple but with very stylish touches (there are lots of beautful books and prints everywhere for example). Breakfast was good, and was soundtracked by Alan talking us through his favourite songs (which we absolutely encouraged), having given us lots of recommendations of where to go when we arrived. Highly recommended.
When I think of a B&B I think about all the things that could go wrong; the people could be unfriendly, there can be mad notices everywhere about what you can't do, a freezing cold garret, and terrible breakfast with bright orange cornflakes. And, yes, all these things have happened to me. The Trinity is the polar opposite of all those things. Lovely people who clearly like other people; complete independence to come and go; great comfy room, tea making, delicious cooked breakfast. With pluses like the family who run the Trinity go out of their way to help make sure you enjoy your stay. Surely the nicest place to stay in Southend?
Stayed at the Trinity for one night.Totally brilliant. The owners are amazing. So friendly and welcoming. The rooms are all individual and so well furnished. The choice of breakfast was awesome. My wife had the eggs benedict with homemade hollandaise sauce I had the full English. Both delicious. An absolute gem of a hotel well worth a visit
This B&B is the best I’ve ever stayed at! Beautifully and tastefully decorated in keeping with the age of the house. Jill and Alan are amazing hosts, very accommodating and make you feel like you’re more like a friend than a guest. And the breakfast.......wow! Home made granola was incredible followed by eggs Benedict, my husband had the full English, both of which were delicious! No greasy spoon cafe there!! The area is perfect for lovely walks, the theatre and dining out.
Stayed at the Trinity hotel for 2 nights during Beast from.the East snow storm. Gill and Alan looked after me and made stay comfortable. Lovely room, really clean and an amazing breakfast. Will be home from home in the future, near to my Dad's care home. I'm coming up regularly from Devon.
