The Trinity Hotel is an easy walk from Westcliffe station. We chose to stay there as the hotel is very close to the Cliffs Pavilion Theatre. Alan and Jill were wonderful hosts and were extremely helpful at all times. Breakfast was all freshly prepared and cooked, and our room was spacious, well appointed and comfy.
Stayed Friday 3rd August, made booking about 6 weeks ago, my daughter checked couple days before and no booking?? But as no one there ok, checked in with my 13 year old granddaugher about 3pm, looked basic but ok! Went back after beach, shower room ok but old ,no bath mat, toilet seat moved when sat on! Anyway went out for meal, when we got back we were locked out! Myself ( I was on crutches after a fall) and my granddaugher were ringing bell, knocking and calling through letter box, no reply! Had to call my daughter who lived locally, and had owners mobile to ring him to open door! As you can imagine my granddaugher was very upset, we were very nervous all night, as it was very hot had windows open, cars driving down road all night! Was informed in morning hostel opposite, and…
My friend and I stayed for one night. The location of the B&B was great, only a 10 minute walk to Southend pier and 2 minute walk to the Pavilion. The owners are friendly and helpful and gave us a parking permit for the busy road outside. Our room was a good size but there are a few negatives - Very cheap uncomfortable mattress, no curtains at the window only a Venetian blind, no double glazing so very noisy, toilet seat loose and it didn't flush properly it was a moderator so also noisy, towel rail fell off one side, water in shower stopped half way through then started again, shower tray was filling up with water, grout black around the bottom, bathroom definitely needs attention. Breakfast was average, there were strawberries and melon cut up in a bowl but they were warm and…
This is the second time we have stayed at The Trinity Hotel. Such a lovely couple who make you feel very welcome from the moment you walk in. The rooms are adequate for a stay for the theatre or a nice weekend. The breakfast is 10/10, lovely homemade granola, full English, my breakfast was poached egg, bacon, spinach on muffins, delicious!!! Lots of cereals, fresh fruit, toast and homemade marmalade.
