Was recommended to try the afternoon tea here. We were not disssppinted. We were offered a cream tea as we had not booked. We had to wait 20 mins because the scones were freshly baked. Well worth the wait. We are going to book next...More
We had a nice comfortable room that was very quiet, lots of stairs so ensure you ask for ground level if the stairs will be a problem for you. Parking out back is very popular although its a large carpark it is shared by lots...More

We stayed at the Camelia with another couple for the Leigh-on-Sea folk festival. This a great family run hotel with very friendly helpful staff. Our Room was modern and clean and breakfast was good. Looking forward to staying at the Camelia again next summer.
My partner and I spent just one night in this hotel when attending a family meal. The welcome was very warm and the room we stayed in was the cleanest I have ever stayed in. I could only wish my own house was so clean!....More

Well I could easily say your answer is dreadful too. Which bit of my comment did you not understand is more of an 'enquiry' than an accusation. Stop jumping to silly conclusions just for the sake of it. You would also probably be the last person I would ever take advice from, on this matter - you are NOT an ethnic minority so you wouldn't have received any ill-treatment and you probably haven't a clue what it must feel like to be treated in such a terrible manner! Had it, however, been your Chinese wife commenting after visiting the Hotel on her own (without you by her side) would probably have carried a little more weight. Don't knock other people's situations that you've never had to personally face or endure. I'm certain you had a marvelous time because you fit the bill of a non-ethnic minority. 19 different people complained about this Hotel but that's okay because you had a lovely time! Your answer is pointless!!!
