At the last minute manager was able to offer my family and I two rooms for an overnight stay to attend a friends wedding in the area. The accommodation was clean, spacious and comfortable. Staff were friendly and breakfast was good - would definitely recommend and hope yo stay again in the near future.

I visited the hotel for afternoon tea with two friends last week and was not disappointed. As a vegetarian visiting somewhere new is always a concern for me but when booking I mentioned this and was told that this would be no problem at all. We had plenty of sandwiches to choose from as well as lots of cakes but... More

My grandparents owned this hotel back in the 70's so we thought it a fitting tribute for my Grandpa's wake. There were about 45 of us and we had the afternoon tea with a couple of additional dishes. The food was plentiful and of good quality. What was really good was the non-intrusive service. They were very attentive to our... More

Good food, beautiful view could of almost been in St Tropez. Homemade chocolate cake was very yummy. Camelia burger and hand cut chips were spot on. Didn't break the bank either. Afternoon Tea looked good too!

Thank you for posting a second review for the Camelia. Your comments are appreciated. Our breakfasts are freshly prepared using only the best, locally made and/or sourced ingredients. Whilst we appreciate not everyone will enjoy this style of breakfast over that which can be taken in the chains, we have found it is most appreciated by our more discerning customers.... More

After a long walk on the seafront this was a welcome break for lunch. First visit here and will definitely be back. The staff were so friendly, coming back several times as we were taking our time to decide what to have. The food was lovely and the portions really generous. At first I thought the prices were quite expensive... More

Went to a reception after a funeral today which was the second time I have attended such an event here, the first being my father's in 2014. I was impressed then and even more so today. The food was delicious and the service excellent and staff unobtrusive but efficient. I wish that I didn't live in the town and then... More

Just returned from a night at the Camelia Hotel, what a smashing boutique hotel. Everywhere spotlessly clean and staff extremely helpful and friendly with nothing too much trouble. We upgraded our room and was worth the small extra charge to have a four poster bed. On arrival we had afternoon tea which was delicious and a very nice twist to... More

We stayed at the Camelia in July for our daughter's wedding, as the reception was held here. The hotel is very comfortable, though maybe the rooms area little dated, and food delicious. The staff are OUTSTANDING! Nothing was too much trouble for them, both at the reception and during our 3 night stay. Thank you for a ensuring that the... More
