We arrived on a Sunday afternoon to a hotel heaving with people coming for their Sunday lunch. Our first impression was created by the two men sitting smoking on the decked area at the front of the hotel in front of the statutory no smoking sign and one that read "no smoking on the decked area". It was very loud... More

We are very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. Had any of the issues been raised with us during your time here, we would of course have addressed them and taken appropriate action immediately. However, we can assure you now, that none of our members of staff would be smoking outside your window. Our highly trained... More

Just the most perfect venue for a relaxing stay and first class service. We spent two delightful nights in a beautifully appointed suite overlooking the seafront with every facility you would ever need. All the staff we met were welcoming and and took the trouble to see to our every needs. We had Sunday lunch with friends in the restaurant.... More

This really is a nice place. On visits to Southend we have generally stayed at the Premier just up the road, but this is a much better alternative. The hotel is in a good location at the seating area outside behind a glass shield is really good. The staff are friendly and the rooms compact, clean and well presented. In... More

We booked the Camelia for my father's wake. This went smoothly. The staff are friendly and efficient. We stayed on for a nice dinner and booked overnight rooms. Ours was comfortable and clean, overlooking the estuary. Buffet cooked breakfast was ok. There is a good childrens playground in the park at the rear of the hotel.
