We have just returned from a stay at the Seven Hotel. It was our first time away in 15 months and it was first class. From the minute we stepped into the hotel to the moment we left it was nothing short of superb. We had a seaview room and it was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. We will definitely be returning.

We recently stayed at the hotel. good location, views out to sea. We had a fair wait to check in as the receptionist was on the phone but once he was finished it was a quick and easy process. The room was ok it didn't blow me away as I thought it would from the photos it was very small but well formed I guess you would say space was used wisely bed was small. Our room was close to the lifts and you could hear people talking and laughing till quite late, and I am not sure if it was the lift machinery or aircon that was noisy but had a very disturbed nights sleep. On the whole the hotel side for me was average I had expected more, the location and style of the hotel is lovely the room was ok, the view was great but the rest left me feeling little disappointed if I am honest. The restaurant was lovely the staff were great very attentive, food was good would definitely recommend a trip to the restaurant. I should also mention the bar the staff again were great and extremely helpful. To sum up if I went back to stay at the hotel I would definitely think about another room nothing worse to me than feeling cramped, although they had used the space the best they could.

We’ve just returned from a 2 night stay here. It was easy to find,We were greeted by a lovely girl who checked us in,. On arrival at the room, the hotel had left us a card and chocolates as it was our first year anniversary, which I thought was a lovely touch. The room was excellent overlooking sea. Room was very clean. We dined in Aurum Restaurant which was exceptional experience. All staff were very friendly. Very good cocktails. Early in the morning, a lovely young guy on reception checked us out. I didn’t get his name, but he was great, especially seeing as though he’d been at work all night All in all, we loved it. We’ll return to southend and stay in this magical hotel again
