Acreland Green B & B is located between the pretty villages of Pleshey and High Easter in the heart of beautiful Essex Countryside. We have two comfortably furnished en-suite bedrooms, which can be let as either singles, twin or doubles. Both rooms have tea & coffee making facilities and are also equipped with TV and radio alarm clocks. Our sumptuous beds will help you get a great nights sleep and in the morning you can start the day by choosing from our extensive breakfast menu. Whether you fancy a light breakfast or a hearty 'big boys' cooked breakfast we can cater for your taste. In Spring and Summer, feel free to stroll around our extensive gardens or why not relax and take in the fresh country air whilst enjoying tea on the lawn. Maybe you can catch sight of the wild deer that often pass by. For those folk that have been invited to weddings or functions at the nearby Maidens Barn or Reid Rooms, we can often help with transport to the venue. Feel free to come and go as you please and if you need to check in early so you can freshen up and change before going to the event, we can usually accommodate your requirements. When staying with us, if you are visiting friends or family and you want to take something special, then why not make use of Claire's personal floristry services. Just let us know in advance what you are looking for and Claire will get to work on making you a beautiful bouquet or arrangement with the flowers of your choice. For walkers planning to tackle the 'Essex Way' long distance footpath, Acreland Green makes a perfect overnight stopping point. Access to the Essex Way is just 300 metres away and if you need a drop off to the local pub in the evening for that well earned pint and evening meal, we will try and help out. For those walkers staying more than one night, we can also offer a drop off or pick up service to help with your schedule. We'll even dry your soggy clothes if the weather hasn't been too kind! Aside from the Essex Way, there are numerous footpaths and bridleways just waiting to be explored. The byways in the area are great for 'off road' cycling and if you need a little local knowledge to plan your day of activity, then we can help.

The place is clean and comfortable. The location was exactly what we needed. The view was so lovely -- such big sky -- that it made a huge difference to jaded city dwellers like ourselves. The breakfast? The breakfast was precisely and absolutely what we needed. The hosts? We only met the lady of the house, and she impressed us with her kindness, her evident enjoyment of meeting new people, and her brilliant attitude. The only thing we couldn't suss out was how to use the shower! We had a great time and we'd definitely stay over again. Thanks for looking after us!!

We stayed here for a wedding at Maidens Barn, Claire the owner couldn't have been more helpful. We loved every minute we spent here, wished we had stayed longer to experience the local area more, some lovely looking villages in and around the area.

My friend and I stayed here for one night whilst walking the Essex Way. The owners were very welcoming and we were greeted with an ice cold cordial after a hard day's hike. Our room was the garden room which was small but pleasant. Breakfast was adequate. There wasn't a great selection of fruit and yoghurt and the cereals were run of the mill standards ( I do like a nice granola or muesli but that's a personal thing!) It was a really handy stopover for The Essex Way as it's only a few metres off the trail down a pleasant footpath to the house. I would recommend.

Attending a wedding at a local venue, this is the B&B to stay at. Lovely and accommodating host Claire gave us a warm welcome, arranged return cab for us. Large room at top of the stairs was lovely with an amazing view over lush farmland and a large en-suite with bath and shower plus shower gels, shampoo etc. Also, tea, coffee and water provided in the room. Delicious full English breakfast provided(one of many options) and the best brew away from home I’ve had in a long while! Claire called promptly when she realised we’d left some shoes behind! Absolutely lovely home away from home 10/10
