All the Staff I encountered were help full and friendly. The rooms are a little jaded and tired looking but have everything you require. Hotel is quiet enabling you a good nights sleep and the breakfast sets you up for the day. If I were in the area again and required overnight accommodation I would use the Miami again.

£66 a night for this 70s throwback is a bit steep in my view. Especially when the rooms/chalets outside of the main building are a bit run down. Keep your vehicles locked up too, a couple of vans got done when we were there. Staff are friendly enough though. No wi-fi this day and age in your room? Well i...

Booked one night in this hotel to explore Chelmsford. The style of the building architecturally probably hasn't been fashionable for many many years now. The room was very dated looking but relatively clean and tidy, a bit noisy at night due to a busy road and thin walls. The few staff I had contact with were friendly and polite. Overall...

Arrived and was immediately greeted by an extremely friendly lady manning reception, who upgraded me to a better room. The room was spacious, clean and warm, and I could park directly in front of it - Perfect The only down side is that none of the rooms have wifi, therefore in order to do some work in the evening I...

So we stayed at Miami becuase it was affordable and in walking distance to the place where we had seminar for three days, and to the city centar. Rooms can be better. Carpets and dissaster, you can see old stains. Shower did not work properly, and breakfast is extremely poor if you are vegeterian/vegan or just smart about your food...

Avoid at all costs - this hotel is absolutely awful. We had to change rooms as we were originally put in a triple room in the outside block, upon walking to the room we noticed a table outside with about 10 cans of beer and ashtrays on it. After going to reception we were told there was nothing available but...

My wife & I stayed at the Miami following a funeral wake at the hotel. The staff were friendly, the wake food good and the breakfast generous. Our bedroom on the first floor was spacious as was the en-suite. Given the Miami's situation all rooms will have some traffic noise but it is not excessive. I am cost conscious and...

The room was dirty, the carpet and net curtain were old and dirty. Hot water was too hot that we have to use cold water to wash hands. The air -condition in our room was not working properly and it was too warm to sleep. This has made worse by sleeping on a bed with lining, it was just like...

Amazingly not the worst hotel I stayed in (Blue Dragon, Cardiff) but this establishment gave it a good run for its money. A family member recommended the Miami Hotel as we were visiting for a family function. Not sure what we done to our family member in the past as this hotel is shocking! Having arrived, the first impressions wasn't...
