Stayed here with my children as we were passing through on a Saturday. It has an outdoor pool which is very clean, if not a touch cold. It is heated, but the heat needs to be a little higher! The rooms were big enough, they were clean and they were quiet. The shower was good. The breakfast was tasty, they... More

This is an exceptionally nice country house hotel where the staff are all happy to adapt things to what customers want. We had a comfortable and very large room with a king size bed, comfy settee, writing table, wide screen TV, walk in wardrobe and large bath with shower. There was always enough hot water whenever we wanted it. More... More

We went with friends for a lunch, the Hotel is definitely Olde Worlde in a lovely setting of the village of Seddlescombe. Small car parking area, being mid week there was plenty of space. Lunch menu plenty of choice 2 courses £22 the food was very well presented and the staff very attentive without being too much. Be aware people... More

Excellent overnight stay with brekky. Very efficient, friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and comfortable beds and bedrooms. Although if you're more than 5'4" the shower is a little challenging in room 1 in the main house as very low ceilings. A cold buffet breakfast with fruit, cereal and toast and a made to order hot breakfast. Very tasty and... More

This well hidden hotel has the charm and character of a typical seaside town. Some parts could do with an little update, but this doesn't detract from is quaintness. Reception staff friendly, room clean with comfortable bed, breakfast excellent with wide range of choices. The Queens Head gastropub well worth a visit.

I just emailed this to Brickwall staff, happy to post it again on trip advisor: Just a quick note to thank you for another fabulous stay at our favourite Sussex hotel, a peaceful hideaway from the bustle of life, and in such a beautiful setting. Thank you to Giulio and all the staff - particularly to your chef, but also... More

The hotel is a lovely old building in a quiet village and although some of the rooms are perhaps a bit tired the hotel offers a quiet retreat in lovely surroundings. The welcome on arrival and the service throughout was excellent, the restaurant served very nice food and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast lived up to expectations with a wide... More

We stopped here recently as a family and were in the older part of the hotel. I wouldn't rush back there. The negatives were that it was in need of modernisation, the bathroom was particularly poor, the shower had hardly any power and the water temperature was difficult to regulate. Our room was not made up during our two night... More

We stayed for 3 nights, dinner bed and breakfast. For the first two nights we had a room in the older part of the hotel overlooking the beautiful village green, for the third night we moved to a more modern room with a garden view as the village green room was booked for the third night. Both rooms were very... More
