Just off the A22; plenty of parking; Large beautiful grounds with 3 lakes; large grassed area and small wooded area; Llamas Emu Alpacas and Rheas in enclosed area. Suit singles couples and families; Good sized room with lovely view. Cater for wedding at weekends, Would certainly be a venue I would choose. Food average.

We had two nights at the Boship and while we encountered a couple of niggles, I enjoyed our stay. We had a cream tea on the the first day, taken in the conservatory overlooking a huge lawn. Breakfast was good. One the first day breakfast was waitress service but on the second it was serve yourself. An evening meal was... More

We had a fantastic deal on one of the voucher schemes ....booked before I read the reviews. I noted that some reviews were slightly damming, but with a ' chest la vie' attitude we decided to remain as open minded as possible. On arrival things were looking up . The hotel is situated in acres of grounds, with large lakes... More

We had a lovely 3 day stay at this hotel while i would agree it needs decorating i feel the comments have been unfair. We had a lovely welcome from the young lady on reception and the service we received from amelia was outstanding nothing was too much trouble. We had dinner breakfast and cream tea all of which was... More

I have got to stop my wife looking at Groupon! To be fair we have had some fantastic deals and we enjoy short breaks away. Apparently this Hotel used to be very good and was sold when Travelodge opened opposite. When we arrived they didn't have our booking, we had previously spoken to Cathy but she had been fired. No... Although on the outside this is a nice looking hotel & grounds - this is where the positive comments stop. The reception staff seemed to have no record of the fact that the hotel room had already been paid for prior to our arrival. The mattress in the room (39) was awful. very hard and of such poor quality that... More

Despite leaving voicemails and emails for the last week we were ignored when we needed to book and stay locally for a family funeral, always seemed like a nice place to stay as we had passed by many a time, on the day before funeral our Travelodge locally tried to book us in here for breakfast to no avail, popular... If you're thinking about staying here, you'd be well advised to watch a few episodes of Fawlty Towers before you leave home. This is a country pile, in the same way that horse manure is a country pile. Time and lack of concern forbid me to list all the failings of this decrepit establishment and, anyway, it wouldn't make any... More

We booked this hotel advertised as 'last 2 rooms £70.00 per room' We booked for 2 nights and we were charged £170 but that is another gripe. We entered room 20 and the smell hit us and immediately opened the window. We entered the bathroom and a bright turquoise bathroom suite with a pea green cistern greeted us, mucky carpet,... More
