This place is in a great location, beautiful building but... We were on our way from Bournemouth and emailed to find out what time they stopped serving food. We were told 9, so with diversions etc we finally arrived at 8.50. We ran in, only to be told the kitchen had just closed. If we had known they would close... More

Forest Row itself is a gorgeous village with plenty of pubs and restaurants to choose from - I'd definitely recommend staying here but I wouldn't stay at the Brambletyne again if you paid me. The toilet kept blocking and the general cleanliness of the bathroom was poor. The shower was annoying to use and it was difficult to turn off... More

Lovely clean hotel. Really nice people. Super breakfast. Only issue is lack of lighting in car park....would have been 5 stars otherwise. For a low cost stay over this beats the chains by a country mile. Thanks!

Booked a twin room on-line for an overnight stay prior to a reunion taking place the next day as we were visiting from The Midlands and it was a long drive. The room offered was a double on the ground floor which was what we needed due to my husband being slightly disabled but we preferred twin beds. The receptionist... More

We were charged for 2 rooms at this hotel when we had only booked 1. This wouldn't have been so much of an issue if a) we had been informed this was the case when we checked in (instead of when we checked out), b) we hadn't overheard the staff moaning about us for booking 2 rooms (which we didn't)... I booked at the Brambletye for last Friday and Saturday night through Hotels.com as I was attending a wedding in East Grinstead on the Saturday with my 15 year old daughter. We had spend the night before in London so we had travelled through the subway, by train and finally a taxi from East Grinstead with a heavy suitcase. Arriving... More

Dear Ms Macdonald Whilst we would like to apologize that you did not have a good experience with your booking at the Brambletye Hotel we would like to clarify what happened. When you arrived it was discovered that we only had a booking for 1 night and not the 2 you expected. Our reception staff were keen to find a... More

Stayed for 2 nights. Room was larger than expected. In a new part of the hotel. All the staff were welcoming, efficient and friendly. When we mentioned that we were leaving before breakfast started on the first morning we were offered fruits and yoghurt to put in the room fridge. The hotel has reception area. A small snug, bar, restaurant... More

Overnight visit to friends, we booked a table for Dinner that night. Easy booked in by pleasant staff, large well appointed room with twin beds and easy opening window, much appreciated on a very hot night. Good selection Dinner menu, well cooked and presented. Breakfast menu pretty standard, served by a 'bubbly pleasant' waitress, such a change from those we... More

Outdated, stuffy, dirty rooms with no aircon. Creaking floorboards and peeling paint. Front desk staff are always absent and you have to go find them as they don't answer the bell - once I had to go find the duty manager who was outside having a pint while on his shift. Absolutely no soundproofing so any live music played in... More
