Stayed here for 2 nights when we visited Bexhill for a family function. Although the building is an old traditional pub, it was more than fine for the time we were there. The chap who runs the place told us he had only been there for several weeks and it was work in progress. Our double room was freshly decorated... More

Was very disappointed with this hotel. Booked through booking.com but when we arrived it was as if they weren't expecting us. The hotel was not as described with no evening meals available and no 'contemporary cafe-bar' as advertised. There were no options for breakfast, just a full English offered, after a considerable wait. The staff seemed to have issues between... More

Stayed overnight as a base for attending a banger meeting in Eastbourne. Very friendly staff who when I rang to say we may be late back allowed us to check in early and drop our bags. Lovely room, very clean and airy, comfy bed, tea and coffee making facilities, tv and free wi-fi and parking. The present owners have only... More

This hotel did not have a restaurant that was open and the bar did not sell beer the relief manager said he'd thrown beer away the week before so wasn't bothered, looked at the menu before leaving for the trip looked good but was told they did not do food. So went over the road to a pub had a... More

I have stayed in several RelaxInnz in the past, this was the worst, and I won't be returning! The owner had just taken over the property, and tbh this needs a major refurb. The carpet was filthy, and the noise kept me awake most of the night from the downstairs bar. My friend & myself shared a room, the evening... More

My husband and I have just spent 4 nights at the Sussex Hotel. We had a warm welcome with Kim and Jed making us feel right at home. Our room was spacious and had everything you needed. The en suite was larger and better designed than some hotels we have been in. Nothing was too much trouble for them and... More

The staff were unfriendly and the man in particular was rude and unhelpful. The lady was in her PJs when we came down for breakfast. Seemed quite reluctant to cook breakfast even though we had requested it on check in. They were both sitting watching TV in the bar area when we came to check out. We said we were... More

Friend and myself stayed one night to attend concert at De La Warr. We walked from railway station to hotel. Also easy walk from here to the Pavilion. Handy to town centre. Hotel is nice if a bit old fashioned. Staff helpful and breakfast was good. Got back after concert to find all doors locked. we had a nice back... More

Locally is priced so much more yet this is fresh clean and comfy. Not the best quality there is but the price reflects this. I think this is reviewed too harshly in COMPARISON to local hotel/BBs. The staff are polite and helpful, rooms modern and plentiful for shorter stays, price is VERY good compared to other local places especially as... More

Visited here in December 2015 for the night whilst visiting friends, good hotel, very clean and comfortable. If you want a quiet hotel I would not recommend this as they had a live bad playing till early hours, but it didn't bother me to much, but overall nice place, staff were friendly.
