Came to a friend's wedding. A beautiful hot late summer day.Good to be outdoors with a roped off area so that the wedding party could mingle. Enjoyed the drinks after the wedding ceremony. The pink cocktail was lovely! The wedding breakfast was good albeit portions were enormous! (Though I think other guests thought they were just right) The room we... More

Without doubt probably the worst plate of food(?) I have ever been served in 50 years. 20 minute wait to get into the restaurant, another 20minutes to get served 'Eggs Benedict'. Well, a muffin that was introduced to the grill on a speed date, a sweaty bit of gammon, two hard boiled 'poached' eggs and a drizzle of a nondescript... More

A lovely traditional hotel right on the beech, my room was on the small side and basic but the view across the ocean made it beautiful. Staff were very friendly, reception in particular were very helpful. A great little find I will definitely stay again!

Twenty four sixty somethings met here for a school reunion lunch this week. The table was laid beautifully with a menu each. The menu gave plenty of choices and the food was delicious and quite large portions too. It is a lovely venue right beside the sea so all round a very good experience.

Stayed at cooden beach hotel in a small Seaview double and omg the Seaview was amazing, not a stick your head out the window and crick your neck get a glance of the sea but full on lay on bed full view experience of the sea. Went for dinner in the restaurant and the waitresses were very friendly and attentive.... More

My husband took me to the Cooden Beach Hotel Beachside Restaurant for a meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we were looking forward to a quiet romantic evening to enjoy a special meal. Unfortunately there was a wedding party taking place and in the bar adjacent to the restaurant there were several groups of people milling about, loud conversations... More

For the amount we paid, I was expecting a room at the front and luxury , not the case... Was in a room at the back directly above the cardboard squashing machine, bins, goods entrance, noisy. Then realised there was another room with two more double beds, asked reception if they had made a mistake, they said no, that's all... More

Firstable I never wrote negative review, that is a first one. I worked as bartender back in a days and my tolerance is extremely high, but these guys managed to upset me, well done... I was on a first day of my cycling trip from Hastings to Portsmouth and saw a nice looking beach terrace, so decided to have some... More

The staff at reception and the staff in general are excellent. Nothing is too much trouble, apart from the chef who would not do hash browns, as I hate beans, and cannot have black pudding for religious reasons. Our room was very nice, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice, except the shower had a lot of black... More
