Absolutely loved the hotel, everything about it. The food was great, staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Great location for a nice quiet time holiday and the best was that I could take my dog Tomie with me and he was also treated very well there. I'm recommending for sure and will be coming back very soon. I can't believe... More

Hotel room was clean - but no lift and nobody to offer help to carry bags. No safe, no fridge. Worst thing was that room was above front entrance where wedding guests go to smoke and wait for taxi. Not a problem except when it is at 1am, 2 am and 3am. Used phone to call reception to complain -... More

A very friendly independent hotel with helpful staff who gave first class service (not always present in chain hotels). We enjoyed really good food and the comfortable Tempur bed which particularly suited my husband following recent spinal surgery. I would also recommend the skilled beauty therapist, Naomi, who gave me an amazing facial. The hotel welcomed our greyhound dog and... More

We booked Afternoon Tea for 6 people. It was excellent. There were delicious sandwiches especially the Salmon. Home made cake 2 or 3 types. Wonderful scones. The staff were great we were given a small private room. So impressed and really good value for money. I highly recommend

A short but very good overnight stay this week at the Cooden Beach. Our afternoon event was organised perfectly by Debbie, who exemplified the genuinly friendly and professional approach we experienced from every member of staff we came in contact with. I include everyone in that comment, reception, waiters, bar staff, and the lady who came to make up my... More

Dining party of eight...generally disappointed. Starters easily forgettable....avoid the soggy mushrooms.Main course ribeyes very good....fish was awful, other dishes bland and served without vegetables. Lots of mistakes with the food orders even the coffees. One waiter was awful , ignorant and unsmiling....charisma bypass !!! All the other staff were very helpful...but it only takes one. Many moons will pass before... More

The food was nothing out of the ordinary and the bar eating area felt cafe like .The beer left something to be desired the Sussex best is just about drinkable .Would return during the day for the views and a snack but not on other evening visit .

The hotel has an excellent location and all of the rooms and bedrooms are very nice. Clean and comfortable. The staff are all very friendly and keen to help. The food was of very good quality although the cooked breakfast was slow in arriving and the sausage was overbooked. A buffet for the cooked breakfast would be a welcome addition.

I have stayed at Cooden Beach for 1 of the last 2 weeks and am due to do so again over the coming 2 weeks. I find the hotel to be very good - the room I was given was roomy and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food at breakfast is freshly cooked and excellent - the food in... More
