Went to visit a friend who lives in Battle and booked to stay here. I've never used a B&B before and was a little bit nervous about it. I shouldn't have worried. The lovely couple who run this B&B were warm, kind and welcoming, and made me feel almost as though I was visiting family. The room was clean, pleasant... More

Wonderful hosts, food and location. The breakfast was extremely high quality, the rooms were very clean and the advice given by the landlady was very useful. We had a delightful time and would recommend it wholeheartedly.

Our hosts were wonderful, our room was wonderful, clean & comfortable. The grounds were stunning, sitting outside having a fabulous breakfast. We enjoyed our stay at Chantlers far more than expected. If we come back to the UK we would stay here again. Thank you Mike & Jackie. We recommend Chantlers to everyone.

We've got there quite late at night and Jackie was waited for us with warm welcome, made me feel like we are at home. Breakfast is real spoil for us, yoghurts, cereals, fresh fruit, tea, coffee, English breakfast, scrambled eggs, omelette are delicious. Bed are comfy, bathroom nice and clean. We stay in the family room with 8 years old... More

My friend and I stayed here for 2 nights when we were in battle for a wedding. Chantlers is a beautiful bed and breakfast, run by such a friendly and helpful couple. Everything is spotlessly clean and the beds were so comfortable. Breakfast felt like such a treat, eating delicious home cooked food sat in a beautiful garden. We would... More

Though it is a couple of miles outside the town it is a delightful place with fantastic gardens. Breakfast was brilliant and the hosts Jacqui and Michael were friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay.

Lovely and friendly hosts, great location. Comfy beds (!) Helpful advice on the Battle area as I was visiting from New Zealand, following the footsteps of my ancestors who left Battle for NZ in 1905. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting this area. D

Stayed here in May 2016 for a couple of nights. The owners, Michael and Jackie, were so welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were amazing. This is a very relaxing place to stay, set in lovely grounds. Will definitely be staying here again.

I booked a roomin this BnB and then was told my booking was "unacceptable" less than 48 hours before checking in, because I was checking in "too late". There was no commmunication on the webstie about restricted check in times, and in the weeks ahead of the date, no indication was made about such restrictions. Appalling service.

THis lady advised us 59hrs ( not less than 48hrs) that she would be arriving after a wedding at 11.30pm to check in for the night. We are a small B &B not a hotel and such a late check in would disturb our other guests.. On arrival guests are given a room and front door key and are welcome... More
