Revisited this pub after a nice walk on the beach and enjoyed the excellent beer. .ADNAMS of course. Other dog walkers were in the bar and plenty of banter was exchanged which made it a very enjoyable afternoon. Thankfully one of the lovely ladies in our midst agreed to drive us back to our rented house.

Having visited the bell many times over the last 46 years I can honestly say I have never been disappointed. After a long walk with the dogs to be able to sit inside with a pint of Adnams with the dogs brings about a great feeling of peace. A good menu at a reasonable price. The layout of the bar...

Yummy food, normally not quite as salty as today. I went with veggie fish and chips but it seemed overwhelmingly salty. This was at the Harbour in not the Bell as the bell is listing two and presume this is the correct one as you're linked.

Have been here from time to time for nearly fifty years, came for a midweek January lunch on a walk from Southwold. Very quiet, helpful service, extensive menu. Good pub food served attractively - we had whitebait, fishcakes and chowder. All very tasty with good side servings, generous but not overfacing portion sizes, all realistically priced. Washed down with a...

Staying just a few minutes walk away so this is where I popped in for a pint on a couple of occasions. Very old pub, burning fire on a cold & wet night no fruit machines etc. So good start. Beer was OK but staff were sullen & even on a quiet night they were more interested in having a...

Just back from two nights at the Bell. Must be about our sixth visit. It always pleases. Great beer, good food and comfortable accommodation; coupled with friendly staff, and this is before you mention the location. By the coast walks abound, Southwold two mile walk. We will go back.

We stayed here for the weekend having stayed in another nearby inn last year, when we had stopped off at the Bell for a pint and ploughman's at the end of a walk. We liked the buzz of the place (and the Ghost Ship on draught) and decided to stay here this year. On booking our room we had also...

The three of us called here for a weekday lunch. We were not too impressed with this rustic type pub. I guess it is okay for some but not for us. The staff were pleasant and the food was adequate.I guess that's about it.

The hotel has six bedrooms and we took five of them for our Friday-Sunday stay. You can see how the interior of the pub was once traditional with more than one bar and a snug. The owners have opened it out but left lots of nooks and crannies. The bedrooms were excellent with everything that you need for a pleasant...
