We discovered this gem last year when we took the short walk to Southwold upon our return the Inn is still very popular with a menu backed up by a large specials board. Coliacs are not forgotten with Glunten Free Bread ( only available as toast) and plenty of Gluten Free options. The welcome was warm and the meals excellent... More

Enjoyed lovely family meal & plenty of Adnams beer in quaint pub with lots of mini rooms inside giving privacy & interest to large very busy pub on a Thursday evening. Food was well presented, tasty & good portion size. It lived up to the recommendation :-)

Appreciating it was late afternoon on a Saturday and the Bell being popular, we rang in the off chance of a table. Answer was "No. Booked all week!" ....... That's it..No sorry but thanks for your call, nothing. Will we bother trying again in future being regularly in Suffolk? .. I don't think so.

We took friends for dinner here, having been before, but for the height of Summer, the menu didn't reflect that, it was all pretty standard, it is a busy and popular pub, so booking advisable, my husband ordered the chicken curry, it came with a very small timbale of rice, so he requested some more, but it didn't arrive, the... Friendly efficient staff and clean comfortable rooms. The ground floor rooms are great if taking your four legged hound with you. Lovely location, 100 yards from a fantastic beach. Excellent breakfasts and tasty options on the evening menu. We will be back.

The pub has everything you need - Adnams ales, superb food with a creative menu, wonderful desserts and, when sunny, a lovely garden. A firm family favourite. Also noted for its fish and chips, which nowadays compete admirably with pretty much all the local outlets. Highly recommended.

In a quiet cul-de-sac at the end of the village, with views of the sea, it has a large beer garden. Our party stayed 2 nights - all our rooms were comfortable with good free Wi-Fi. The dog was welcome in room 5 and OK in the bar on the lead ; not permitted in the dining room at breakfast.... More

There are two similarly priced pubs in walberswick, both charge around £6 for a starter and £14 for mains. The bell has a very odd lay out so get there early if you don't want to end up sitting in the hall facing the toilets! The food we had was fine, but nothing special. We had nice deserts but they... Stayed in one of about six rooms above/next to this 600-year-old pub - one of only two in Walberswick (The other being the Anchor). Mine was small with a small bathroom attached (Prices were from about £100 to £100 for a double). The Bell is a pub with bags of character and a decent looking menu (which I didn't get... More

This friendly pub does excellent food at a reasonable price. The menu is extensive with good specials daily. I had the fish pie which had plenty of fish with a selection of vegetables. My husband had a lovely homemade chicken pie. Along with lots of good beers, this great family pub is well worth a visit.
