Our stay was fine - the main positive was that our room ('Southwold') was lovely: huge, light, comfortable. Unfortunately the bathroom needed a little bit of love and care, and this also stood for the rest of the hotel. Efforts have clearly been made to give it the boutique look, but haven't quite gone far enough so it's a little... More

We recently stayed here for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was a very good size with a nice shower room, and there was ample space to store clothes and belongings. The breakfast was good with a choice of cooked options. Cereal and yogurt were provided, fruit juice, tea, coffee and unlimited toast along with various spreads.... More

Really impressed, didn't look too much from the outside and with so much choice in Southwold we popped in for a drink first. Ended up staying for a 3 course meal! Staff very friendly and accommodating. Scotch egg starter was amazing. A member of our party really fancied a knickerbocker glory, and although not on the menu they were more... More

We stayed at The Blyth Hotel two years ago and loved it but returned this week and felt so disappointed. It now looks run down and dirty, our bedroom window was rotten, the room smelt fusty, carpets old and dirty. The TVs and kettle didn't work and we complained to the manager who was very apologetic and moved us to... More

The exterior of this hotel is scruffy, but don't be out off. We had the Southwold room and it was spacious, clean and comfortable. Nice bathroom, plenty of space and a huge, comfortable bed. The staff are great and the hotel is very handy for town. There was a varied selection for breakfast, overall a great place

Stayed here for a weekend with friends. Room on the main road but very little traffic noise with windows closed (not too bad with windows open). Welcoming a little chaotic we were beginning to think they were not expecting us. Room adequate although, given you can't use the hairdryer in the bathroom it would have been helpful to have had... So very disappointed from the offset. Arrived for a one night stay Mid week. The outside of the hotel is very rundown, from the carpark we could see all the windows were deteriorating, and a skylight in the roof was covered by black plastic. The garden at the back was inabatable and walking towards the entrance we saw windows to... More

Used to be a firm favourite of ours, but the minute we stepped in the door we knew things had changed drastically for the worse. Decor used to be classy and understated - now it has no theme and looks like someone has been to a cheap secondhand or charity shop and grabbed anything at all to fill up bar... More

Dear LuluLowestoft UK We don't usually respond to reviews. We like to let them stand as they are for everyone to read as they will. However, inaccuracy must be challenged when it appears. We're sorry but the motheaten 12 year old Laura Ashley soft furnishings had to go along with the mouldy sofas in the bar. I think there's a... More
