Wife and I had two nights staying at the Wellesley House. Great, quiet location with off road parking, but still only a couple of minutes walk to centre of town. We stayed in the Garden Room which was generously sized, bright and airy. Julie was an excellent host and cooks a fantastic breakfast to set you up for the day.... More

We don't understand why this is rated no 13 - just because guests at The Wellesley don't 'do' Trip Advisor! We have just returned from our third annual trip - and it is everything you need for a break in beautiful Southwold. Wonderful hosts, room, breakfast, location (with parking!) and the double bed is so comfortable. Fresh fruit, milk and... More

We found Wellesley House to be relaxing and very comfortable and the owners more than willing to help make the stay as home from home as possible (but with no pots to do). The room we had over looked the common and in the distance the sea, Free parking right outside! The bed was so comfy and massive, it was... More

This is a lovely bed and breakfast, extremely clean, comfortable bed, lots of hot water and great position. Great to have parking, nice touches like the fruit and fresh milk. Delicious breakfasts with a good choice. Very friendly hosts. Try it and you won't regret it, we'll be back. Thank you Julie and Bruce

Wellesley House is excellently located, very close to the centre of beautiful Southwold, but quiet - adjoining the Common. There is easy parking at the front of the property. Our room was clean, attractive, and comfortable, with especially comfortable beds and lovely linen. It was also nice to have a good selection of reading material in the room (eg a... More

Relax and enjoy this fabulous bed and breakfast. Excellent location in Southwold. Hosts are lovely and very knowledgeable about surrounding area. Only two rooms in this Edwardian house both beautifully furnished and very clean. Breakfast options are endless with fresh local produce offered. Tea/coffee/hot chocolate tray in room. Also fresh milk on hand (no plastic long life milk pots!) In... More

We stayed in Wellesley House on an anniversary trip to Southwold and we were delighted with it. The room was clean, comfortable and had a lovely view of the common. Our hosts were delightful and the breakfast was delicious, with a great range of food available. The location of the hotel is as good as it could be. We would... More

It's extremely rare I give any hotel 5 stars on Trip Advisor, mainly because there is always something that can be improved. However I am struggling to think of anything for this wonderful B&B. It is situated just 3 or 4 minutes from the town and about 5 minutes from the sea. You are also right next to a common... More

A fantastic B&B, clean, beautifully decorated, comfy bed, scrummy breakfast with plenty of choice. Lovely touches in the room - fresh fruit, tin of biscuits, fresh milk in a flask. The owners are friendly, knowledgeable and endlessly patient while guests chat away to them after breakfast. The B&B is situated in a quiet part of Southwold - only a couple... More

Me and my husband came and stayed here for a weekend away without the kids. Wellesley House felt like home for the 2 nights we stayed. Nice and quiet place to stay next to the common, the views from the room were stunning. Huge choice for breakfast, croissants were exceptional as they were fresh every morning from the local bakery.... More
