Decided to book for a special birthday treat as it is not cheap. Fabulous food served by excellent staff. However, we had 2 children in our party and were told they cater for them with smaller portions and lower price but were charged full price for them and at no point were we asked their ages. The set menu was... More

Lovely afternoon spent with friends enjoying this splendid hotels afternoon tea. Great location and the conservatory is super for views over gardens. The food was lovely and the mini scotch egg was a pleasant and unexpected start . Staff are very pleasant and we had plenty of time to enjoy the experience .

We stayed for two nights in one of the Pavilion rooms. It was very spacious and furnished in a smart, contemporary style, with a very comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom. It was all immaculately clean and nice touches included a fridge with water and fresh milk plus a jar of home-made cookies. A door opened onto a small terrace with... More

Morston hall sits in lovely gardens which is a nice out look from the conservatory where we sat. We had a quails scotch egg to start which was different and un-expected and also very nice! That was followed by sandwiches, scones and cake. Then another surprise, a dessert which we struggled to eat as was so full. Everything was very... More

We did the Friday night taster menu. It was generally really good, with a couple of aberrations (the final dessert was so overwhelmingly sweet and rich, even my pudding-loving wife gave up). Some of the courses were really tasty and interesting, especially the turbot, and presentation was what you'd expect in a fine dining restaurant (beautiful, clever and a bit... More

We decided to have a cream tea outside in the garden, which was attractive. The unfortunate part was our enjoyment was curbed by a most disgusting smell coming from an extractor into the garden. We had hoped to look around as a wedding venue, but when my daughter mentioned the smell to an older gentleman in the restaurant he just... More

Beautiful hotel set in lovely well kept grounds. Excellent welcome from friendly staff. A young lad took us up to our room and explained everything and could not have been more helpful. We then went and sat in the herb garden for a light lunch and relax ready for the dinner in the evening which s the main reason for... More

This was our first ever experience of Michelin star food and service and we were not disappointed. From start to finish the service was superb; smooth, professional and impressive. We enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine in the conservatory pre-dinner which gave us chance to view the menu and relax into the atmosphere. From the moment the canapés arrived... More

I visited for afternoon tea with two friends, one of who has a dairy free diet. Having informed them in advance we all enjoyed a beautifully prepared and presented afternoon tea in lovely surroundings. The staff were polite and attentive, but not intrusive, and we felt very relaxed. The food was all delicious and they even changed the sandwiches slightly... More
