We stayed at the Neptune for our wedding anniversary and cannot recommend it highly enough. We had a standard room but it had everything you could possibly need from Magimix capsule coffee machine' homemade biscuits, to cotton buds. The food was outstanding, beautifully presented and you get more than normal for a restaurant of this quality! The ambiance was most... More

Although the main reason to visit the Neptune is for the superb restaurant (see separate review), there are also good reasons to stay here as well. The rooms are very nicely put together, spacious, with individual touches and very nice bathrooms. The breakfast is as good as you'd expect and the service is extremely efficient and friendly - you're made... More

We were given a dinner, bed and breakfast as a gift from some friends as a wedding present. The Neptune is fantastic and set in old Hunstanton. We were greeted by Kevin (owner and chef) and shown to our lovely room. The room was very nice, with a very comfortable bed, coffee maker, TV and lovely bathroom. We booked in... More

Visited again, couldn't fault it. Food, service, wine, all first class. Not expensive for the quality of the experience. Been to lots of the top restaurants in Norfolk and for me this is number 1. Had mackerel with compressed water melon to start, lemon sole to follow and crème caramel for dessert. Writing this review has me reaching for the... More

Eight of us had an excellent meal in this very exclusive small restaurant last Saturday. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the food was wonderful. When our taxi failed to arrive the chef very kindly drove us home which meant two journeys and for that he gets a special mention.

This is an amazing place to stay and to enjoy the fabulous food they produce in the kitchen. We drive up from London in the late afternoon for our 20:30 dinner booking and was welcomed warmly, checked in and having drinks in the cozy bar in no time. The rooms are small but perfectly formed. The bathrooms are all modern... More

Perfect. No other words describe this restaurant. Great food and great service. The menu is limited as one would expect but there is always a good range of options. However, The menu is very well thought out. Reservations are hard to come by so book early to avoid disappointment.

We had a lovely time and some of the best 1 Michelin star food there is. Kevin is clearly passionate about his food and it shows and Jacki simply makes one feel welcome. Our room (no.1) was tastefully decorated, clean very, pleasant, as is the whole house, breakfast was great and we slept really well. We cannot recommend The Neptune... More

I was conflicted on writing this, on the one hand I want to shout about how good it is and on the other want to be selfish and not share. We stayed the night and had the 9 course taster meal ( special celebration). The food was fantastic, all well cooked, seasoned and locally sourced. Service was very good and... More
