We stayed 3 nights here and had a great time. Although The Lawns is a hotel, it is more like a local pub with rooms so the ambience is informal and friendly. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and throughout our stay by all the team. Our room was very comfortable and clean, but as others have... More

Been before and it was very good Bit disappointed this time as not as good as it was previously The owners seem to disappear midday leaving the place to be run by kids We stayed at 3 different hotels in Norfolk - this was the dearest but the others were both better for food and rooms Nice garden out the... Found this place via the internet. Described as a small hotel but is a cross between a hotel and a local pub as locals use the residents bar and restaurant. This made it so relaxed and friendly. The manager and his staff were all amazing - nothing was too much trouble, I cannot recommend it highly enough. Our room (... More

Stayed here for 3 nights early July whilst we were involved with a car club meeting at the North Norfolk Railway station. Chose the best room in the house in first floor overlooking the garden which came with large TV/DVD player, excellent furnishings, very comfortable bed, good bathroom with fine toiletries and very large fluffy towels! Had organised a meal... More

Enjoyed a one night stay, enticed by the website claim of Wine Bar with rooms. The atmosphere and staff is 'laid back'. Our clean and fresh room was incredibly well equipped, from lovely toiletries, bottled water and limitless coffee in room, fan and extra heater if needed, the biggest softest towels ever, and a shower with excellent water pressure!! The... More

We chose to stay at The Lawns as it was close to where our friends were getting married. On the website it looks like rooms above a pub, which it is in one respect, but our room was furnished to a very high standard & was extremely spacious. The village was very quaint, although we didn't get to spend much... More

We stayed in a nice room on the top floor, however be warned no shower. Water went off, was told 'Oh thats because they're doing work outside', no prior warning or apology. Evening meal ordered Cajun chicken but it turned up plain (not a Cajun spice in sight), again no apology. Young lady, who seemed to be in charge some... More

I think it is a pity that the entrance to the hotel is at the back and you book in at the bar, rather than at a Reception desk. The room was well presented and a good size. The beds very comfortable. Water pressure a little low. Breakfast I was very dissapointed that the fresh fruit was merely that banana... More

The Lawns is a very nice hotel just a few yards from the centre of town. If you have a large car, access to the car park can seem a little tight if coming from the town centre, but if you turn round and do it from the other direction it is perfectly fine, and the car park itself is... More

Stayed here for two nights in April, we had one of the best rooms , furnished in a period style, very impressive and comfortable. There was a good sized TV,with DVD player, kettle, hair dryer, and fridge. The first morning the breakfast was disappointing, were not asked if we would like toast,or if we needed more tea or coffee. The next day it was... More
