We had a warm welcome from the hosts, who showed us to our spacious room with private entrance. Breakfast was served in the conservatory, with several options to choose from and everything we tried was very good. Only a short walk into the charming town of Holt and only a short drive to the coast.

Lovely high quality B&B with delightful hosts who went the extra mile to make our visit memorable. Fantastic breakfast, quiet, comfortable and slept like a log. Easy walking distance to Holt centre which has some great shops and eating places. Our hosts provided us with very helpful guidance on local sightseeing, walks and pubs. No hesitation in recommending.

Very enjoyable 2 night stay at Holm Oaks. The location is perfect for exploring the Norfolk coastal area, and we did lots of walking, seal trip, wandering around the beautiful villages, relaxing over pub lunches and eating evening meals in a couple of the excellent range of restaurants in Holt. The B&B is so welcoming, and the owners, Mary and Nigel are such a lovely, cheerful and helpful couple who did everything possible to enhance our stay. I had a warm, light and spacious double room with a comfortable bed, a large en-suite and my own entrance and key. It was very well equipped with a mini fridge (a bottle of water is supplied daily), tea making tray, Sky tv, armchair, hairdryer and large bottles of toiletries. There is a large car park for guests and a lovely outside seating area. Breakfast is cooked and served by Mary and Nigel in the large conservatory and the menu included an excellent full English with good quality ingredients. It is a flat 10 minute walk into Holt where there are high quality shops to wander around and numerous cafes and restaurants - all very convenient. Would thorougly recommend Holm Oaks.…

Stayed for a long weekend, excellent hosts. Holm Oaks is 4 comfortable warm en suite rooms based around a conservatory in which good breakfasts are served. Holt is interesting with many niche shops. Plenty of food outlets although some are overpriced as are many of the coffee shops, one that is not is Horatio just off the main street. Steam train, which is about 2 miles down Cromer Street so good thing it has a large carpark, runs to the small Sheringham which is really just one street although worth a visit. I would certainly recommend Holm Oaks for its comfort and friendly owners.

I had a very enjoyable two night stay at this B&B. Mary and Nigel were such a pleasant couple who made me very welcome. Very clean and comfy bedroom. The breakfast was the best I’ve had for a long time, with locally sourced ingredients. I look forward to returning soon. Thank you, Christine

Enjoyed 3 night stay in spacious room with nice en suite and Sky tv. Nice spacious parking area and a 10 minute walk into town centre. Mary and Nigel are very friendly and helpful, hence all the great reviews. Highly recommended as a base for the town and coastal attractions and resorts.

We chose Holm Oaks for the location close to Gresham's School. Pleasant, clean and well-equipped rooms. But what made it special are the owners - very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the breakfast. Very reasonable prices

We were very happy with our stay here. Bedrooms clean and comfy, showers hot, plenty of toiletries and towels. Small fridge in the room great for keeping drinks cold. Breakfast very good, nothing too much trouble for Mary. 10-15 minute walk into Holt, 5 minutes from bus stops. Added bonus was the use of private garden and conservatory. Private parking space too.

After doing so little for so long in lockdown we decided at the very last minute to have a day out in Norfolk nearly 3 hour drive. With the weather forecast hot & sunny we thought why not see if we can get a room for the night and have a fresh early start. Holm Oaks, Holt came up on a search & seemed to fit the bill. With Holt being at one end of the "Poppy Line" we decide to book room & a steam train ride to the seaside resort of Sheringham for the following morning. The only room available was their small room which had a window into the porch of the main house with extra ventilation provided by ceiling Velux. Room was clean and comfortable and perfectly adequate for a short stay, cost was very reasonable. The B & B is in a nice quiet location and has a patio area to sit & relax. . Nigel and Mary were very good hosts and breakfast was good including some GF options. We were shown one of the larger rooms before leaving and it was would be a better option for a longer stay. It is a five minute walk past some lovely old houses into the small town of Holt with a choice of bars and eateries. The town centre is attractive with a wealth of small individual shops some tucked down little alleys. The coast with a choice of resorts or quiet isolated beaches is just a few miles away. Would definitely revisit the area with Holt & Holm Oaks high on the list of places to stay. Can also recommend Poppy line must be one of the best heritage railways around. Well organised with friendly helpful staff & volunteers, you get entire compartment for your party and feels very Covid safe.…
