We came here for lunch because we got some vouchers for Christmas. The burgers were basic, the roast has nothing to it not forgetting the very very watery gravy. I'd rather pay 11.50 and have the feathers carvery which is much nicer and you get more!! Holt kings head is no longer a contender, much nicer food elsewhere.

We called in here for a Sunday afternoon drink whilst in Holt for a few hours. This place has 2 bars and a large beer garden ... The boys had a couple of games of pool but, we didn't stay for food because we'd already eaten all though, we wish we had because the food looked fabulous! All our drinks... More

Stayed here for work. Got room just above the bar which was noisy until late. Room had kitchen and seperate bathroom which was very luxurious . Lovely deep bath and lots of smellies. Food in restaurant was excellent with good choice reasonably priced. Probably best steak I have had. Breakfast and checkout was over the road at Byfords hotel. The... More

We stayed in room 2 which despite overlooking the street was quiet at night. It was very comfortable with a luxury bathroom and small kitchen .We didn't self cater but it was nice to have somewhere to make drinks and have a fridge for fresh milk.Previous reviews have mentioned the pub noise but although it was very busy we were not... We stayed for one night, staff who checked us in were very friendly and managed to rectify a dinner booking at the nearby Byfords. The room was great only real downside was that it was quite noisy from about 7am from heavy traffic outside.

We stayed in room 3, probably the best room for a quiet stay on a Saturday evening because it is further away from what can be a noisy bar below. The room is large and well decorated and the bathroom is lovely with a roll top bath. The bed is huge although it needs to be connected to the headboard/wall... More

The room we stayed in was really spacious as was the bathroom, it was decorated to a high spec. Although it was on the main road over a pub, their was no noise. You do need to go down the road for breakfast which was of a really high standard. We did have an evening meal at the Kings Head,... More

Very enjoyable trip away for a few nights. The room was very well presented, the bed was ginormous if you want to escape your partner! We also ate downstairs in the restaurant, the service was very efficient and the food was delicious. lovely staff always helpful and wearing a smile. Only one thing is that there wasn't a kitchen towel... More

We changed and had a very luxurious hot bath. We went down to have dinner at... More

My partner and I needed a base to travel around the area for a couple of days and couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised when finding this little haven! Olde Worlde charm and hospitality, set in a beautiful environment brought bang up to date with all mod-cons. All at a bargain of a price! Don't believe for one second that... More
