Visited over Christmas , set menu for Sunday , good choice, catered for children . Fresh veg , great meal, good price, catered for special diets including gluten free. plenty of space for prams etc. Room for children to,spread themselves out. Staff helpful. Pretty location near river.

The hotel room we stayed in was very tired and dated and when we arrived we were shocked that we had paid so much for a room of this quality. Fortunately we were only staying for one night otherwise we would have been tempted to request a refund. On the plus side the breakfast was very nice.

The staff are very helpful and friendly. I have enjoyed the breakfasts and evening meals, and lunches. It is an old converted mill with bag of character, and a homeliness that more trendy establishments cannot replicate. The hotel is walking distance from the town centre, close to Walsingham, (fabulous place- go there!), the racecourse, the historic working railway at Dereham,... More

The hotel is an old converted Water mill, and is more like a pub than a hotel. Our room was on 2nd floor of what appears to be a more modern addition, and was clean and reasonably decorated. The bathroom was OK although on one morning the hot water was barely lukewarm, but this was sorted quickly. The breakfasts are... More

Enjoyed my stay and will definitely be returning 😊. Great location near town centre and racecourse. Staff are all very welcoming and polite and Jason is exceptional. Accommodation was very good and had everything you could need. Breakfast also very good. I look forward to my next visit. Thankyou Wensum Lodge for a great stay 😊

Stayed for two nights. Ever so friendly staff. The rooms were in need of a little refurbishment. We were in twin bedroom, only one bed had bedside cabinet. The shower was lovely and powerful but could have done with a rack/shelf to put sponges and soap/shampoo etc. The room was very clean. Breakfast was cooked fresh. Very peaceful hotel.

Hotel is in need of some modernisation, the room was ok. Clean and quite airy but the bathroom was small, dingy and smelt of cooking. I ate in the restaurant which was average at best. I wouldn't go back if it could be avoided.

Overall we had a nice stay. The establishment is very clean and staff are freindly and attentive. Breakfast was really nice, cooked well and served hot, can I suggest a pot of coffee or tea rather than just a cup though. There are certain areas that need slight attention in my opinion. Our room was on the top floor and... More

Stayed for two nights, Sunday and Monday. Staff very polite and pleasant. Room comfortable. Breakfast most acceptable and Sunday roast was well-received. Dog-friendly. We would stay there again. Reason for going was pilgrimage to the shrine at Walsingham, 5-6 miles away.

Stopped here with a colleague for 5 nights , Breakfast very average , didn't get chance for an evening meal as we were working nights so can't comment there, the twin room was ok but in major need of a refurb! If there was a premier inn nearby then this place would have to major lower its prices as £450... More
