I arrived at the hotel slightly earlier than expected, the gentleman on reception was chatty and friendly, he told me that he was inexperienced in working day-shift as he usually covered nights but he would see if I could check in early, which he did and I was able to then enjoy the rest of my Christmas with my family,...

Excellent night's sleep at a good price, clean & quiet room, good bathroom, great bed, everything you need. Good location, great place to stop on a long drive up to Scotland from the south-east. Friendly welcome, can fully recommend.

The hotel was okay, a dated version of the standard premier inn. I think it is due a refresh. This visit was completely let down by The hungry horse. The cutlery was dirty, especially at breakfast, which does not open until 7! After waiting to get in the selection at breakfast was similar to other premier inns, however it was...

Great mattresses. No sagging as with other Inns I have stayed in. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Room very clean and tidy. Enough hangers, enough towels and black out curtains. Great to check n online prior to arrival to save time.

We stayed at this premier inn as we were visiting Beamish museum. It was really easy to find, perfect location for Beamish only 25 mins away. The restaurant was lovely, very child friendly and really nice food. No complaints at all.

The usual great standard as supplied by Premier Inn but seriously let down a little by the adjoining restaurant! A very good breakfast as usual but an awful main course for our evening meal, a supposed rib-eye steak which was 80% gristle? Rib eye steaks do not have gristle?

The Premier Inn was faultless, the food across the road was absolutely horrible. Stone cold, not even a little bit cold, FREEZING and took over an hour and 15 to come, after being advised it would take 15 minutes.

Breakfast was ok, but mushrooms looked and tasted as if dipped in warm water rather than being properly cooked. Staff appear overwhelmed at times when trying to serve customers, clean tables and restock the buffet. Slippery, icy underfoot conditions outside the reception resulted in a man falling flat onto his back even after we had reported the icy conditions to reception.

Very clean and tidy, exactly what you'd expect from a Premier Inn, however the room was so noisy due to creaking floorboards above it was almost impossible to sleep. If I had to stay there again I'd ask for a room on the top floor.

Hi Ben Thanks for taking the time to share your review. I'm pleased to hear you found the room to be clean, although it's a shame to read of the noise disturbance you experienced. I've passed your comments on to the Management Team for their information, however you're more than welcome to contact our Reception Teams prior to your arrival...
