We came here on a last minute decision to go out for tea. We decided to try the kings Arms as we live within 20 minutes and neither me or my partner had ever been before. We knew we both wanted a Sunday roast and so ordered straight away when we arrived. We were seated in the dining room on... More

We checked in to the Travel Lodge on the M6 service area and asked the Manager to recommend a place to eat. He gave us the Kings Arms in a nearby village and we were most impressed with the service and standard of the food which was of a very high quality and very friendly and helpful staff.

late night stop. Charming hotel in nice village. Plenty of parking for cars although vans may struggle due to height restriction, staff were very helpful getting us parked up for the night. Rooms were clean and well equipped, bathroom was small but fine. Breakfast was very good and would recommend a visit.

My wife and I are very particular with the quality of food we consume and especially where. We thought we would try the Kings Arms at Burton in Kendal Last week the end of September because we have not been there for around 10 months. This was the third time we have eaten there and whilst having a nice drink... More

We were walking the Lancaster Canal with our dog and had booked here overnight. Our welcome was lovely and the young girl had actually taken our bags up to our room for us as they had been taken for us. There was a dog bed in the room so the dog was happy. The room was clean and the bed... More

We stayed here in August for 2 nights in a family room. This was a large room in the pub building at the front - so there was some road noise but it did not disturb us - and there were black out blinds to shut out the pub external lighting. The large king or superking bed was extremely comfortable... More

Took my wife for a meal expecting a decent pub meal. Unfortunately we didn't get it. Service was excruciating slow, seemed to wait an age for our order to be taken and then about 35 minutes for our starters of pate and garlic bread which to be fair was nice. The main courses were poor. The gammon was ok but... More

We wanted a reasonably priced stopover, with comfortable rooms and we got that and more. Very welcoming staff with good quality pub grub - it may not be fancy food but it is well prepared and there is plenty of it. Thoroughly recommend it and will be booking again if we get up to the lakes again soon. A great... More
