We have stayed at the Poseidonio previously and we were very pleased to be returning. Upon arrival we were collected from the port by the shuttle mini bus and delivered straight to the hotel. We were given the exact same room we occupied during our last visit and it felt just like coming home! The views from our balcony were stunning and we were mesmerised by the wonderful sunsets. We also enjoyed watching yachts, ferries and fishing boats going about their business.

Ideally located for visiting places of interest as well as restaurants and nightlife, this hotel is spotlessly clean throughout and the people at reception and at breakfast cannot do enough for their clients. The Continental breakfast is plentiful and hygiene standards are very good. Thank you Poseidonio for another relaxing break. We’ll be back!

Inn very well placed in the center, perfect for going out. Less than 10 min walk to the port. The room was just beautiful with the giant hot tub, very nice view of the balcony port. The room was clean and very large. Right at the foot of the Pension you will find car hire and tourist agencies. The only downside: Breakfast is quite basic.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at The Poseidonio Hotel. The location was superb. Walking distance to everything. The hotel was immaculate throughout. The rooms were very clean and beds comfortable. Air-conditioning worked well. Highly recommend room with balcony. It has the best view over the marina. Staff were very friendly and professional. A big thank you to Evangelia and Paraskevi at reception and the lovely room maid Mira and all other staff. All such lovely ladies who couldn't do enough for us. From the moment I booked this hotel and spoke with staff, I new I would not be disappointed. Breakfast was basic but adequate. Value for money. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Tinos. You won't be disappointed. Truly a gem.

We had expected something better… the room looked tired, the balcony with sea view was minuscule and facing a parking. Did not find such a good price-quality ratio.
Average breakfast.
No kettle in the room, just a small refrigerator.

The best thing about the hotel is the location, extremely convenient and in the center of Tinos.

Good hotel in the center. Very helpful staff. Very small elevator. Breakfast very good, the rooms are worth more the front with views. Great view. Small balcony. Old building. Recommended for those who want to go to worship and stay for a night.

I went with a friend in early May and was very pleasantly surprised. It's an older hotel, although I would think, renovated fairly recently. The rooms are just what you might expect but very clean and the bathroom was great (good, working shower with plenty of hot water). We had a room overlooking the harbor with a great little balcony. It might be noisy in the summer but in May it was fine. The breakfast buffet was fairly standard but all fresh and tasty. What set this place apart was the real friendliness of all the people who work there. Aside from the free transfer from the boat, they were helpful with every request from restaurant suggestions to bus schedules (they made us a copy to keep). The last day I was waiting for someone to return a sweater I'd left in a taverna (out of town) the day before. The woman (owner?) at the front desk said not to worry that if it didn't come before we left she'd just mail it to me. A great place and if Tinos wasn't so terribly windy I might just go back!

We chose this hotel for its position but it excelled on arrival! The room we had was with a sea view and was spotlessly clean. Clean towels were supplied every day of our 5 day stay. The breakfast was varied and served in a room especially used for this purpose. This room is a little small and on some days got quite crowded but there was always plenty of food supplied by the nicest, happiest girl we have come across in a long time. She couldn't do enough for the customers, running things upstairs to their rooms for them as well as keeping tables cleared and food stocked. Brilliant. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and the transportation to and from the ferry port was very efficient. A jewel in the main town!

A friend and I stayed here for four nights over the Easter holiday and were very pleasantly surprised by how nice it was for what we paid. The staff members were incredibly friendly and helpful, and even gave us a box of Greek Easter treats. Our room wasn't fancy, but it was clean and in good repair, and the view of the sea was amazing! We also really enjoyed the location--you can walk anywhere in the port town, and taxis and buses to link you to the rest of the island are right across the street. I've already recommended this hotel to a friend and would happily recommend it to anyone else planning to visit Tinos.

We had a hiccup going to Poseidonio Hotel due to the ferry cancelled on the Friday which made us stay overnight in Mykonos,But the next morning we caught the Ferry over from the Madness of Mykonos to heaven,we were met off the ferry and brought to the Hotel and what a joy it was,the greeting and friendliness of all the staff was so welcoming went up to our room on the fourth floor opened the window to be met by a fantastic view(Tip. book a front room overlooking the Harbour)you will not be disappointed.
Overall the Hotel is the perfect place to stay on Tinos, that is if you want to be in Town,Rooms are well appointed, good bathrooms safe in room TV all mod cons.
I have no hesitation in recomending this hotel.(mind you having said all this I just hope I will not find it Full when I next Book) and I will be back hopefully in September.
Thank you once again everyone at Poseidonio your the tops....
Also must add,Tinos is a super island, just like Greece was all laidback, slower pace, restaurants where they have time to talk to you,and so much to see and do,cannot rate Tinos high enough

This is an excellent hotel if you travel for business or pilgrimage in the beautiful island of Tinos. It is located very centrally and at the same time close to the harbor. There is free mini - van transport.
The staff was very helpful, the room not really spacious and the breakfast average.
However there was fine view from the balcony.
Despite the fact I had a great time in this hotel, if I visit Tinos during the summer I would prefer to stay at a more traditional room/hotel. However if my visit will be any other season, Poseidonio will be my first choice again.

Hello Jetsetter, Thank you for your review of the Hotel Poseidonio. Haven't been to Tinos since I took my parents there in 1998, but I am planning to return next year or two. Am surprised that the Hotel Poseidonio is getting great reviews; it was listed as "D-class" back then, and is in the middle of the chora (main village) that we thought would be noisy, so we didn't stay there. It must have been renovated. The ferry from Piraeus docked right in front, so perhaps that changed, too. My Mother's parents were from Tinos and my Grandfather's family owned the Poseidonio. They immigrated to California, USA in about the 1920's. We had no contacts on the island. I only knew that the family had owned the Poseidonian and that it was still there. We ended up staying at a wonderful hotel outside of the main village that, ironically, was owned by a distant cousin who introduced us to other cousins who still owned the Poseidonio. It's a Greek cliche, but it seemed that everyone on Tinos was a cousin! I joked to my Mom how lucky I felt that the grandparents left the island for genetic diversity. Truly fun and poignant experience. I love the Greek people and regret not learning the language. Again, thanks for your review. This time, I think I'll stay at the Poseidonio when I visit Tinos. Cheers, Christos V. P.S. My grandparents ran a motel off of a highway in a small town in California. It was surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, but lacked the charm of Greece.

There is a bus stop in front of the hotel. You can take the bus and visit many villages around the island, in the central part mainly. The lines are served by the local bus office and are : 1) TINOS-TRIPOTAMOS-KAMBOS-TARAMPADOS-KARDIANI-ISTERNIA-PIRGOS-MARLAS-PANORMOS, 2) TRIANTARO-DIO HORIA-ARNADOS-MONASTΕRΥ-MESI-FALATADOS-STENI-MIRSINI - POTAMIA, [Please notice that, the bus, stays for ~20 minutes at the Monastery and returns to the port of Tinos]. 3) TINOS-TRIPOTAMOS-XINARA-LOYTRA-KROKOS-KOMI-AGAPI-KALLONI, 4) There are also buses to Agios Fokas, Porto and Agios Sostis Beach. You have to look at the timetable at the central bus station for the exact time ao departures. On the other hand, as the other friend has answered already, to visit Santorini you have to take a ferry or a spped boat, that will takes you to Santorini in ~ 4h 30m. Or you can travel by a boat from Tinos to Myconos (about 45m) and then get a plane from mycomos to Santorini (Thera). But - as you undersatnd - it needs a very good program and time schedule. I wish you best and relaxing vacations !! [Sorry for my delay in answer, but - as it seems - I missed the incoming message...]
