They wowed us straight away by picking us up from the port, even though it’s just a 5 minute walk away. (And offered us a lift to the port for our return). Check in was quick and easy and the staff were friendly and helpful. (Check out was just as easy too). The first floor rooms have all been refurbished so our room was light, spacious, clean and modern with a balcony on the side of the building; we could still see the sea. The beds were comfortable and the rooms had air conditioning. The bathroom was clean and modern too. It’s located on the sea front so all the restaurants are easy to reach and lots of them. The breakfast room is quite small but it wasn’t a problem as we went out of season. There was a good choice of cakes, breads, cheeses, meats and preserves. And hard boiled eggs and omelettes and sausage. I would go back. …
This is an excellent hotel if you travel for business or pilgrimage in the beautiful island of Tinos. It is located very centrally and at the same time close to the harbor. There is free mini - van transport. The staff was very helpful, the room not really spacious and the breakfast average. However there was fine view from the balcony. Despite the fact I had a great time in this hotel, if I visit Tinos during the summer I would prefer to stay at a more traditional room/hotel. However if my visit will be any other season, Poseidonio will be my first choice again.
i stayed for one night in the refurbished room and i have to admit that it was a wonderful stay. new clean and comfortable excellent value for money and in the centre of the town. no need for a car ! well done
We were here for three nights, and found the hotel comfortable and staff helpful. Many rooms face the water, with balconies just big enough for two people. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast was fine, the ferry pickup and dropoff was very helpful. There is nothing negative in my memory. A bus stop for trips around the island is right across the street, and the grocery store about a block along the road. The elevator is tiny - will take two people and one suitcase - but it comes quickly. Several nearby agencies sell ferry tickets and we needed their help in order to get to Delos, Tinos was a once in a lifetime trip for us, but I certainly recommend the hotel to others going there. When I sought reservations, the booking web sites showed no availability but emailing the hotel itself got us space. Perhaps they were setting aside rooms for tour operators? The breakfast space is small and packed with furniture, which might be a problem when all the rooms are full. It was very affordable, also - especially after Piraeus prices.…
I didn't really want to tell anyone else about this hotel because I wanted to keep it a secret. However, in the name of fairness, let me share our opinion. From the moment we first booked our accommodation, we knew we were on to a good thing. The communication was free-flowing, we were reassured that our needs would be met and the owners were happy to arrange transport for us from the ferry port to the hotel. By the time we arrived, everything promised was delivered. We were given a warm welcome and the keys to our immaculately clean, comfortable, spacious and airy room on the first floor. Everything we may have needed was there and the picture postcard views both from within the room and from the balcony were breathtaking. Breakfast was very pleasant with plenty of choice and was served in the downstairs dining room, buffet-style. We were given knowledgeable advice when we asked questions about getting out and about and we were always greeted with a smile. The family work really hard to give the best to their guests and they succeed in every respect. Going forward, we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else on the island next time we visit. Thank you all for making our stay so pleasant.…
We spent 2 days on Tinos. We had a brilliant time. Tinos is a lovely island. We did the coach tour from the bus station near the port, which was excellent. The Poseidonio Hotel is beautifully located right on the front. We had a room with a balcony with a great view. The staff are kind and very friendly. We even had a lift too and from the port. The rooms are very clean and as an added bonus the a/c is very quiet and the beds comfortable, so we slept well.
The Poseidonio Hotel was outstanding from staff to facilities. Beautiful breakfasts and stunning veranda views. Very helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble. I would not hesitate to recommend or return!
A hotel with an excellent central location. Great view of the port and the main part of town. The staff was very friendly and the hotel very clean. The bathrooms are a bit small but adequate. Our overall experience was very good.
An excellent place to stay in Tinos town. Very clean throughuot the hotel, excellent lift, so central, great for people watching if you get a front room. Views from these rooms are amazing. The breakfast is continental, has a really good choice and nicely presented. The only negatives are that the rooms are a bit cluttered - not much room to move around and the furniture is dated, although the beds quite comfortable. Also, the breakfast room is far too small and cannot cope with more than a few people at a time. When we stayed in early June, there were people on bus trips staying and it was chaotic at breakfast time. We tried going first thing and then leaving it until later, but it was always so congested and so not a relaxing experience. However, if we are ever going to Tinos again, I would certainly stay there. The positives far outweigh the negatives.…
The hotel Poseidonio has an old world feel with modern updates. The location near the ferry dock is convenient, and everything you might need is in walking distance from the hotel. Many rooms offer a beautiful views of the ocean, but if you can't get one of those, each floor also has a comfortably furnished patio facing the ocean for guests to use. The staff are friendly and helpful, and they always manage to find someone who speaks English well enough. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful! Fresh island yogurt and island honey were my daily favorites, along with a excellent cup of coffee. They also stock milk, juice, fresh fruits, meats, cheeses and pastries. The beds were comfortable and the room temperature was easy to control. Being right on the water front connects you to the street life below and really gives visitors a feel for the vibrant town. On the down side, if you're a light sleeper, the street noises might bother you, and the beds in our room and our friends rooms were all twin beds.…
