What an amazing holiday we had. The hotel offers you standard 3* rooms that are cleaned daily, with comfortable beds, good size fridge, great AC and good WiFi. But in return you get 5* location and 5* hospitality/treatment. The family that runs the hotel is amazing, they always have a smile on their face, makes you feel welcomed and they go the extra mile for anything you might need. The breakfast offers you a great selection of foods, freshly baked pastry and homemade bread, good coffee too. We even got a complimentary “good bye” drink before we left. We highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely return.

Just back from 2weeks in Hersonissos, in Crete, stayed in Thalia hotel . From the minute we walked in this hotel we felt so welcomed and the lady owner and her family couldn’t make our stay more pleasant. Nice and clean rooms, really good beds, slept like a baby every night, equipped with all the basics you need…..the location of the hotel right in the heart of Hersonissos, within 2 minutes walk to different beaches to your choice,as well as all the buss stops just outside of the hotel. All Shops, restaurants, a walk beside the beach, all around the hotel. Lovely Greek breakfast ( most of the ingredients sourced from the locals) bread was actually warm every morning so tasty and enjoyable Greek music, just a perfect start for the day. It’s a family business hotel and everyone part of the team couldn’t be more helpful for tips, advice and recommendations we got for restaurants, places to go for Greek music and places to visit etc Thank you all🙌 for the hospitality and to All the team from Thalia hotel that made our stay such a lovely experience, will definitely be back Best regards C

Thalia deco City & Beach Hotel is a fantastic family run place in Hersonissos. Situated on the main street with local tavernas, supermarkets, travel agencies and car rents is ideal for active rest. The beach is just 2 minutes walk across the street. The rooms have views to the sea, mountain or inner yard with a swimming pool. The hotel deserves strong 10 points out of 10 in its category. The most important thing, though, is the staff. We would like to express our gratitude to the hotel owner Themis for his elegant tactfulness and his wife Gordana, the supersonic lady, who bakes bread at night to have it straight from the oven in the morning and treats hotel guests with other homemade products for breakfast. Anthonio, their son, shows his businesslike attitude to any questions or problems you may have, but if you want cultural or historical background for the trips you plan in Crete, young administrator Anthie is the right person to address. During your stay at the hotel you feel wonderful atmosphere, care and attention. The hotel has style and soul, because the owners are passionate about what they are doing. We have just arrived back from our stay in crete which was our first holiday in ten years and also mine and my husbands first holiday together. We arrived at the hotel with a seven year old boy and our Five month old baby in tow, in which I was a little worried about on how we would cope.
The hotel was more than i expected, we were greeted by wall with a cascading waterfall, clean fresh colours and a very welcoming person at the desk. Everything was excelent from the moment we stepped into the hotel until the Day we left.
The rooms were cleaned each day and were a good size, the pool was warm and set back from the road and proved to be a welcome relief from the hectic shopping and eating areas of town.
I couldnt recommend this hotel more, the Staff couldn't do more to help us. All the Staff seemed happy and I was so grateful for the fantastic stay we had here because of them. Each one of them fulfilled their job with genuine care even down to the sweet cleaning lady. We are already planning our return trip.

Stayed here for 7 nights with my boyfriend and we absolutely loved it. The staff are incredibly nice and friendly with lots of suggestions for good restaurants and beaches- it had a lovely family feel & good vibe. The hotel itself is very clean and the hairdryer in the room is great, plus the location is fantastic with good walking distance to all bars and restaurants. We particularly like Meltemi beach and Chersonisos beach, and Karavi & Coast restaurants! Meltemi beach also has a fantastic beach bar with traditional Greek salads, souvlaki and tzatziki. The hotel beds were slightly uncomfortable for our liking, but would not stop us from returning. Breakfast everyday was delightful with lots to choose from: pastries, bacon, sausages, boiled eggs, yoghurt and fresh fruit & cereals plus more! Every breakfast had something different and it was a fantastic start to our day. Plus on our check out, our flight wasn’t until 10pm and the hotel kindly let us store our luggage, have showers and charge our phones before leaving for the airport. Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough, Thankyou Thalia!

We stayed here for a week in September. Everything was perfect! Check-in was at 3:00 in the afternoon, we arrived at 8 in the morning. We were welcomed very nicely from the moment we arrived and were led to the room much earlier, when one of the rooms was ready. All the employees are very friendly and ready to give you advice about services in the area (public transport, car rentals, places to visit). It is cleaned every day, and the cleaning ladies do an excellent job. Breakfast is approximately the same every morning, but it is a varied buffet so that you don't have time in a week to eat everything on the buffet. The food was very good every day! Our experience here was very pleasant, there was no problem.

I stayed here with my partner for seven nights in May/June 2022 and we had a fantastic time. The staff is welcoming, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Even though they are very professional they immediately felt like friends.
The common areas are nice and airy, the rooms are a good size, have great beds, and with the curtains closed it stays magically cool even without using the aircon. (Which in itself is effective and quiet, but we only had to turn it on for a few minutes to cool the room down each evening.)
The breakfast was really good, with a great selection of greek and continental food, the freshest fruit and good coffee.
We didn't test the pool since we prefer the ocean, but it looked clean and appealing.
Many, many thanks to the whole staff for making us feel so welcome, and for giving us an absolutely lovely stay! If we go back to charming, friendly, touristy but relaxed Hersonissos, staying anywhere else is just not an option! <3

Thalia was a most pleasant surprise! Hotel has been renovated and looks great for what is classed as a 3 star! While I expected a typical 3 star experience, I was greeted by a VERY spacious room, nicely sized bathroom, cozy balcony, swimming pool AND gym! A delicious breakfast was included but what surprised me the most was the rock bottom price I booked it at which for early June was by far the best value vs quality hotel experience I had in a long time. Last but not least, the entire staff and family who owned it extended me a warm welcome and were very kind to accommodate a last minute extended stay request I had for free. As a bit of feedback, I'd love to see breakfast hours extended a little. Other than that, thank you so much for the experience, hope to see you soon and I will be most certainly choosing Thalia for my future Hersonissos stays!

Stayed here from 11th to 18th of September and had a great time. On arrival a very lovely girl who was always so happy to help with anything greeted us and showed us a few different rooms we could have and we chose a great room over the main street which was nice to sit on the balcony and have a beer and watch the world go by. The hotel itself is very nice and clean and a very good standard of accommodation. The pool is lovely and secluded in a back garden area and the temperature is perfect. All of the people working here are amazing and friendly and will help you with anything and the older gentleman helped me out with some advice when i had an accident on a day trip and injured my rib. The hotel is in a great location a 2 minute walk to the coast area and sea. Restaurants and bars all around you and supermarkets 2 minutes away. Each night on returning to the hotel there was always a night man making sure hotel is safe and if you need anything.
10/10 for cleanliness 10/10 for hotel owners and staff 10/10 for location. 10/10 for facilities

Hello, I'm not representing Thalia staff, but I found that question. So here's my answer. It's not so far to reach mountains. You can take a stroll. But if you're dying on trekking, no matter whether on bike or anyway, I'll recommend on finding information within the city in tour-operators. There're plenty of companies specilizing on trekking or safari there. The price is fair there.
