The journey was great, we were picked up from Heraklion airport by the transfer service and dropped off directly on the main road above the hotel, the driver explained well where we had to go. We found it straight away, we entered the hotel and were greeted very warmly and we immediately felt welcome. It was just 12:00 noon and we were lucky because our rooms were already ready :) Scheduled check-in is at around 2:00 p.m. (However, we noticed several times during the week that other guests were able to check in earlier. That speaks for itself, and even if that is not the case, the huge lounge invites you to linger and there is also WiFi :)
We can only give very, very positive feedback about the stay itself, as we were completely satisfied. For a 4-star hotel, everything was to our satisfaction! The food was delicious and varied, the rooms provided were sufficiently large and had a nice ambience. We would actually schedule dinner a little earlier, around 6 p.m., because you're already very hungry if you only eat in the morning and evening. The rooms were mostly clean, here and there you could see a bit of dust or hair, but that happens, it's not clinically clean at home either ;)
One night towards the end of our week we had a strange background noise in the room above us for several hours, a call to reception was enough and 5 minutes later it was quiet :)
Every Tuesday there is a Greek evening that invites you to dance and creates a good atmosphere. We found the spa area to be very clean, quiet and tidy in terms of massage, the treatment itself was extremely relaxing. However, we found the type of advertising for the spa area and its spa offers a little too pushy, because even after a massage you were immediately invited to book something again or to buy certain cosmetic products, which was a bit too much for us personally. We also used the fitness room once, although it is very small with only a few pieces of equipment and the rules that it can only be used for 1 hour are simply fair to the many guests. The pool area was always tidy and there were opportunities to relax in privacy and the beach is also located directly below the hotel, less than 2 minutes walk away, clean, tidy and very pleasant. Two loungers + umbrella cost 12€ each, even for hotel guests, which was completely fine. Action-packed water sports can be reached directly to the right of the next hotel beach and there is a lot on offer.

But we would also like to give the hotel staff a big compliment here, not just the people at reception but also the service staff in the building such as the housekeeping staff and the waiters and waitresses in the restaurant and at the hotel bar. Everyone greeted us every day, you could approach us at any time with your concerns and they were happy to help you, give you directions, etc...

We had a lovely holiday and would recommend the hotel and its location to the center, the beach and the promenade and bars at any time!!! Thank you very much!

My stay at this hotel was very enjoyable. The location is fantastic as it is on the beach and one block off the main tourist strip in Hersonisson. The hotel is very clean and my room had crisp white sheets and towels, and the buffet for Breakfast and Dinner was seriously good with alot of variety and changes each day. I do have a couple negatives about this hotel, but overall they do not affect my general rating. There is no coffee maker in the rooms, only a kettle, but with no tea or instant coffee. There was a small fridge. There was no information in the room regarding facilities or things in the area to see, or even the meal times. At the breakfast and dinner buffet, there is coffee machines and tea and water available but at other times all these are turned off or covered, so that if you wanted any water you are forced to purchase any drinks during lunch or dinner. There was free wifi in the lobby only, but room wifi and room safe had a charge of 3 Euros each per day. Perhaps it was due to the level of room I choose, but I felt this was not keeping up with guest expectations. But again I say that overall, this hotel was a pleasure to stay in for a week.

All the staff work extremely hard across all departments at the hotel. The food in the main restaurant for breakfast and evening meal is good. There is a huge variety of choice of food. The staff constantly clear tables remake a table and work extremely hard.
We ate out at The Veranda Restaurant three evenings for a change. It was a very pleasant experience with the waiter service to take your order for drinks and food. The Veranda restaurant is partially outdoors overlooking the sea. The standard of waiter service is excellent. The food is freshly cooked and delicious. We enjoyed the Greek evening which is on a Tuesday, If you want to eat at The Veranda restaurant on Greek night it is advisable to pre-book a table.
The rooms are spotlessly clean with attention to detail with making the bed and cleaning the room daily.
There is a lovely lobby area with nice furniture to sit and relax with free wifi. You need to pay 3 euros a day per phone for wifi to use your phone throughout the hotel.
The pool area is nice. There are plenty of sunbeds to sit on which are free. There is a hotel beach with sunbeds which cost 5 euros a day per sunbed. The beautiful mediterranean sea is idylic.
There are many shops and restaurants in the area there is a main road behind the hotel. We hired a car for 5 days and enjoyed travelling to the real Crete.

We are disappointed with the hotel. The beach is too small and borders the sewer pipes. Deck chairs are available for a fee. The elevator for four people without luggage is staffed in the morning by cleaners transporting trolleys. You cannot find a parking space for a rental car, as the parking space is occupied by its vehicles. If you want to get a greeting from the staff, you have to say hello yourself. Dinner is repeated, the same fish for three days. Room half cleaned. When we left the fifth floor, the elevator did not work and we had to carry our suitcases on foot to reception. We travel a lot and have never experienced such disappointment.

We stayed in this hotel for 7 days. In terms of location, this is ideal and you are central to everything. In addition, this hotel also has a number of negatives, the swimming pool is very poorly located in the hotel, so there is only sun in the afternoon. The room only has 2 electrical outlets, not even in the bathroom. Bathroom is super small, you can barely move in it and you can't put anything in it. Hygiene in the hotel itself could be much better, toilets are clearly not cleaned every day and there is not even soap available to wash your hands afterwards. Food was basic, sufficient choice but hot and cold dishes did not always meet the correct temperatures. Be sure to think carefully about half-board or all-in formula because with half-board you pay an extra surcharge for your drinks every time. After checking out, there is no longer any option to shower or change clothes. Deck chairs are not always clean either, sometimes there is bird shit on them.

Was very disappointed!

Entertainment you have to pay for. Drinks for Dinner you have to pay for even when you are half board, but breakfast drinks are free which doesn’t make sense.

Beach is really small and not enough beds and also another charge for those as well.

Yellow stains were also on bed sheets and plug socket was dangerous as it looked smashed into wall.

Pool very small and water very cold

And!!! Wifi is free in reception but you have to pay €6 a day for wifi in your room.

We really enjoyed this hotel. The room was nice ans clean, only the bathroom was a little bit small. The breakfast and dinner were very delicious and there was always a lot to choose - also for vegetarians. The Hotel is directly at the see - you can also book sunbeds (1 sunbed 5€) and umbrellas (1 umbrella 2€) at the beach or use the sunbeds at the pool. There are two Restaurants a la carte at the beach in front of the Hotel, especially the food at "Karavi" was very delicious. The stuff was always very friendly. The only thing that bothered us were the extra costs for a lot of things - the WiFi costs 3€/day, the save also 3€/day, the drinks are not included in HB, the towels for the pool also cost Something and like I mentioned the sunbeds and umbrellas.

We had a very nice time in Glaros. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The spa offer was highly recommended.. Since we are not buffet people, we preferred to go to the attached Veranda restaurant... It is our favorite restaurant in all of Chersonisou.. The staff in the restaurant have become very dear to us, best wishes to Eno Dane Janeis and Elena..
The Greek evening will remain unforgettable..

The junior suite with sea view is simply breathtaking... The only thing we would wish for is that the beach towels were changed more often during the 2 weeks we were there and that coffee and tea were refilled when the rooms were cleaned...

Pros
Room cleaned daily and new towels
Food was nice 90% of the time
Good location and views
Friendly staff
Clean pool

Cons
Groups of lads completely taking over the pool, with speakers, taking them into the restaurant too
Not enough sunbeds around the pool
Drinks served in tiny plastic cups for 2 days
Quality of drinks were not great. The only cocktail included on the all inclusive was tequila sunrise. The beer was weak and the rose wine tasted stronger some days, then not as strong the next.
Quite a long wait for drinks in the buffet restaurant.
Food not varied - mainly pork dishes

We were supposed to stay for 14 nights we ended up leaving on night 11 as we were unable to sleep due to rude and loud young lads in the rooms next to us (even after we moved rooms on night 10 due to the same problem)
Hotel staff told us that it's normal this time of year, but looking at other hotels this was not the case, they seemed to be able to disturb and do whatever they wanted, pushing in queues for drinks, bringing speakers into the restaurant, banging doors and walls and music on all through the night

The first week was manageable but after the above incidents we just wanted to come home, so we did! We loved the area but we would definitely pick a different hotel next time.

The hotel need to advertise the fact they let groups stay. There was one group of about 20+ lads who were constantly pushing in the queue for drinks and shouting their orders to the bar staff who seemed to do their first 95% of the time. If we knew they had let groups stay, then we wouldn't have stayed here.

There are 2 hotels close by, I think Palmera and Akasha and they both looked very very quiet in comparison.

Dear faya2014, Thank you for your review and for all the pros you mentioned! We are doing our best to have our guests satisfied. About the noisy young people, we did our best to inform them that they shouldn’t have loud music at least at noon, but they still didn’t stop. We try to be understanding that after 2 years of quarantine and strict covid measures, especially with young people that it was more difficult for them. On the other hand this is not common to our hotel, to have such noisy guests. Thank you again for your review and we would like to have you back sometime in the future to see the difference!

We had to book this at the very last minute, as our planned holiday to Rhodes had been cancelled due to the forest fires. We hadn't planned on Crete and basically took the first option we were given, as it was literally the day before we were due to go. But it worked out very well. This hotel was just all-round good service, especially from the reception desk. Excellent and diverse choice of food for breakfasts and evening meals. Nice pool, plenty of sun loungers, and a very nice restaurant attached which did great fruit cocktails that were very popular with our kids. Best feature was the close proximity to the beach, literally a few metres to steps going down to a shingle beach where the tide was always in. Warm water, even warmer than the pool. The organised trip to the big water park was also really good. My only issue was that I would expect these days for wifi to be available for free in the rooms, as well as in the downstairs public areas, but this was extra. Especially a big consideration when you have teenagers with you. But having said that, it did not detract from our overall excellent stay.
