We booked Aqua Sun for 2020 but due to Covid couldn't go, i saw Aqua sun pop back up last year so booked it for July 2023. Booked through Love Holidays who were obviously advertising Aqua Sun.
On arrival into Crete we were told our hotel Aqua Sun was closed and we'd been relocated to Eri Beach.
Turns out our hotel wasn't just closed its been stood derelict for 3plus yrs so shouldn't have been advertised.
First thought was great its right on the beach, better than the 20minute steep walk down the hill to the beach from Aqua Sun. We saw plenty of slides (our reason for booking Aqua Sun so the children were amused)
Room at Eri Beach seemed clean enough but then we walked around within 5minutes we saw alot that needed sorting I'll add a few photos, we told staff about an electrical cable hanging down that looked live he said he'd sort it instantly it never was sorted. Tiles everywhere just placed over holes. Food was not pleasant full of oil very repetitive, my children are not fussy eaters but 2 out of 3 lived on fruit when we didn't go out to eat, so the all inclusive was pointless. All bars shut at 10pm, if you were queuing they wouldn't serve you they'd roll the shutters down in your face at 10pm. Trying to get food was a nightmare people just pushing in and shouting at each other, we came across 2 other English families, Eri Beach seemed prominently more German families.
Tiles missing in the pools making edges sharp.

Just came back from crete the hotel we stayed in was never a 4 star hotel.
When we arrived we got pointed to our room looked clean the door at the back was already open and it was facing the play ground which I thought it be great for my son we all got changed and went to the pool area the door was broke so my husband went to report it I took the kids to get a drink and something to eat as we been travelling through the night and it was the afternoon I was told I could only have 2 drinks at a time the I went to the snack bar where I was greeted with 1 trangle sandwich and a bun in a napkin I said we are a family of 4 which I was told my children had to come and get it as it one per person .
We went to the restaurant when it opened the food was awful the rice was hard things was cold looked like it been there for hours went to get desert nothing left no one refilled .
Went to bed my son was getting undressed when he said someone watching me as I looked up from our front door clear class where other rooms could see straight in to our room.
Next day back door was broken again so we had to wait to be fixed pool area was nice but only 1 bar open for 3 pool areas.
We made dinner this time same thing chicken and pork rice was hard every thing was dry but we got dessert.
Snack bar was the same but no bun just one trangle sandwich.
What we had at dinner time is what we got for tea .
My children refused to eat the food .
We had to keep going up to reception for clean towels and toilet roll .
When we reported that the cleaner not given us towels for last Couple of days or bed sheets we came back to towels thrown all over bed .
After 5th day of no food or dessert I spoke with the restaurant manager I said they is no food for us to eat every day when we come no deserts or food which is un eatable as it all been batch cooked and left till people eat it you wouldn't give it to dogs plates are dirty or water running off them we paid for this food I would like to eat it instead of going out paying for food.
He told me I need to get in early to get food once it gone it's gone I said I come when it's opens up the food is from dinner time warmed up he told me I haven't got flavour .
I have never been to all inclusive and felt robbed everything stops at 10 pm coffee machine gets switched off you can only have 2 drinks at a time small plastic cups which wasn't full but entainment started at 10 pm lots of people went the spar shop and bought cans .

Family vacation with the Czech travel agency BlueStyle.
The hotel is outdated, there are frequent power and water outages - we reported the outages to reception and the water/electricity was restored during the day.
The Allinclusive program was not good. The menu is still the same, all food is cold (including pasta, fish, meat). Sometimes you have to wait for a free table, there are not enough dishes and cutlery. There are long forms on the fresh food counter. Of the original 2 restaurants, only 1 is working and it is overcrowded. Drinks are served in small plastic cups.
The room was clean, cleaning works, towels are changed. The double room had one shared air conditioner. The air conditioning controller is only available on request at the reception - it was not in the room. There are no soft fillings on the deckchairs by the pools, just the original mattress cover - you lie on a wooden grate. The hotel needs renovation and we were disappointed with the facilities and services provided. The hotel does not deserve more than 2 stars. According to the travel agency, everything is fine - according to the location and what they write in their conditions... Never again for us!

This resort could be amazing but.....as it is at the moment I could not recommend it. The water slides are by far the best part, but as they are unsupervised several accidents occurred from smashing into people yet to get off.
Around the large salt water pool a lot of maintenance is needed from loose or missing slabs and broken drain covers leaving large jagged holes. On a positive the daily pool activities were very good, entertainment staff were brilliant. Unfortunately the pool area becomes an ice skating rink when wet leading to daily injuries from people constantly slipping over. As well as a lack of maintenance there is a lack of cleanliness. The sun beds are filthy, staining out towels and the floor was never cleaned the 12 days we were there so empty plastic cups and cigarette ash covered the floors.
It is an all inclusive but there is only one bar with 1 or if your lucky, 2 members of staff serving the entire resort. This means you queue for ages to be told you are only allowed 2 drinks per person. These drinks are warm cheap pop, beer, wine, or local brandy that tastes more like Pernod in the tiniest plastic cups. At 10pm when the adult entertainment starts, the all inclusive stops and you have to buy your drinks.
There is only 1 tap to get water with the tiny plastic cups with angry signs saying you must not fill bottles with water. So many people were buying drinks from the on site shops for children as the walk to the bar was too far from the water slides.
The rooms were ok. Tired and only cleaned 3 times in 12 days. The cleaners came between 6pm-7pm when you needed to shower for dinner as you get shouted at to leave the pool at 6pm. Our room only had a hand shower, no shower on the wall or taps, and the drain in the bathroom overflowed with fowl smelling water every time you used the sink.
Although the food was edible and no tummy issues, it soon became bland and boring with the same things dished up for lunch and dinner.
Dangerous for kids, not all inclusive, filthy, not enough staff or bars open. AVOID

I usually take reviews with a pinch of salt and tend to think it’s people who just want to much for the money. This was until I spent a week here. The hotel shouldn’t be allowed to claim to be all inclusive when the entertainment starts when the all inclusive finishes. There is only brandy and ouzo included as spirits and the other drinks are warm and flat. The bar staff are extremely rude. This has been mentioned in numerous reviews so I’m unsure why they the management haven’t dealt with the hospitality short falls of there staff. The hotel claims that towels for the pool are included in the all inclusive, something that you would expect however you have to pay 2 euros to have them cleaned every day. The pool area and slides could
Be there greatest attraction it’s a great area however the management choose not to clean the area it’s absolutly filthy. I have seen a lot of negative reviews about the rooms, our rooms to be fair are clean and tidy and we have had no issues getting clean towels.
The food is atrocious I have never seen such poor food choices on a holiday. It’s mostly cold when they run out they don’t refill anything. The food was edible for one lunchtime and it was clear they were having some kind of inspection: it’s the only day they served chips and everything was hot. We came down that evening looking forward to tea to find the same old rubbish they had been serving the rest of the week.
The hotel must not have any returning customers as I don’t believe anyone would ever return here. Rather than treating the guests as people who have payed an awful lot of money to be here they are happy to have a hotel that is filthy. The management clearly have no desire to provide a holiday to remember for the right reasons
The only people that deserve any recognition is the young man and woman who provide the entertainment around the pool they have been great

The Eri Beach village is in a beautiful location and the swimming pools and slides are great for all of the family. We went at the end of May and there were plenty of comfortable sunbeds available all day. On arrival our room was not clean with crisps under the bed and squashed mosquitos in the bathroom. The accommodation is tired and out dated but it was adequate for our stay. We had a fantastic view of the pool and the sea but we could not sit on our balcony in the evening as the mosquitos seem to be immune to our repellants. The all inclusive was poor as the food was repetitive and sometimes under cooked. All inclusive drinks only meant fizzy drinks brandy and something called ouzo. The drinks were served in small plastic cups and you had to que up to be served each time, and only two drinks at a time. This was a problem as the cups were so small by the time you reached the sun bed you had already drunk it. There were no ice creams or slush offered at all except ice cream in the restaurant which again was served to you. The entertainment staff were great and the team leader Nimo was very friendly and helpful, he was very good at his job. Mosquitos were a huge problem at this hotel for us. There was only one set of toilets open near the pool & bar and the walls were covered in mosquitos. The other set of toilets were closed the whole time we were there. The hotel has lots of trees which looks nice and provides shady areas but full of mosquitos. We would not go to this hotel again it needs updating and some TLC.

We apologize and we sincerely sorry for the mosquitos, however, unfortunate we have in the area. Of course, disinfection has been done, but they cannot disappear completely. All inclusive, as far as drinks are concerned, has cold beer, wine, brandy, ouzo and of course soft drinks and coffee in normal plastic cups, not small and of course as much as you want and precisely because at certain times of the day there are a lot of people we give no more than two glasses each time so the others don't have to wait of course you can go and get two glasses as many times as you desire. Regarding the food, most of our guests say that it is excellent and we are sorry that it wasn't what you wanted. Yours Sincerely Guest Relations Department

Dont hesitate to choose this hotel. It is high quality hotel, very clean and neat, very rich food for everybody's taste, for example, I don't eat pork but I could choose other types of meat. Verry engaging entertainment programmes and the leader Ilias. Good work of all animation team.

We have just arrived back from a 2 weeks break (8 of us) although we booked “aqua sun village” which we found out on the day was in fact closed we got taken to this hotel.

The Hotel isn’t as awful as some of these reviews although it is incredibly basic the pools make up for the basic food saying that there is something for every one but be prepared to wait for plates and spoons this became a fun game after 2 weeks your on holiday there’s no rush!

Our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and toilet paper and a good view and size so no complaints there.

Drinks package for all inclusive is very basic cocktails you have to pay from 9€ for from the beach bar.

Entertainments needs a lot of improvement.

All in all though if you’re looking for great fun with the children then the pools and slides available are ideal and hours of fun I think we found 5 pools around the complex (one salt water)

There is 2 parks however neither have flood lights which is needed in the evening.

Over all experience it’s VERY basic but you make your own fun.

This hotel is closed and love holidays are fully aware of this yet they continue to advertise it as available. They will allow you to book this hotel and then they will change you 7 days before your holiday. They transfer you to Eri Beach which is dirty, small rooms and disgusting food.

The Eri Beach Hotel provides a magical holiday. The perfect location, with stunning sandy coves right next to the hotel plus a romantic coastal road with enchanting restaurants / bars nestled along the coast. With 4 different large pool areas, each with a different vibe - it’s like 4 holidays in one. We didn't young children but we could see families having an amazing fun holiday. Suited to families and couples.

But equally as impressive at Eri Beach, is the staff. On arrival Nikos couldn't have done more to help us with, with a friendly smile, and Eva and Tanya were also great. However the main star of the hotel staff is Lia Pagoni, the hotel’s Guest Relation Manager. Lia was outstanding! With over 2,000 guests, Lia made us feel she was just looking after us! On my wife’s 50th birthday while on holiday, I struggled to get a birthday cake and Lia went out of her way to get us the most amazing cake we'd ever seen. She sorted out some minor issues instantly, with professionalism and a smile and made us feel very special. She is an asset to Sri Beach and deserves a pay rise!

Fantastic holiday: perfect location, amazing pools, hot weather, stunning beaches, good food, clean rooms, superb staff - what more do you need!
