Eri Beach & Village hotel garners mixed reviews, with its prime beachfront location and scenic ocean views from the pool area frequently praised by many guests. However, some travelers have found the service to be a hit or miss, alternating between friendly and lacking professionalism. While the rooms and public spaces receive a divided opinion on cleanliness and upkeep, a number of guests feel that the hotel does not provide sufficient value, pointing to the mismatch between cost and the quality of amenities and overall experience.

We had a room above the restaurant in the building of the former Sun Beach Hotel, which is now part of the Eri Beach Hotel, with a magnificent view of the sea. We had a superior room, which was apparently recently renovated. The restaurant was closed after a week with an excuse for bad weather and we relied on services in the main restaurant. Upon arrival, no one at the reception complied with anti-covid measures. None of the tourists observed any measures during the stay, especially in the dining room, and none of the staff checked it. After our complaint, the director himself began to control at least the use of disposable gloves. The hotel has three saltwater pools and slides. It is ideal for families with children who do not go to the sea. There are plenty of free sun beds and sun umbrellas in the area. For all hotel guests there is only about 20m wide entrance to the sea (the biggest shortcoming). The only real beach is only about 50m long by a kind of lagoon separated from the sea by a stone wall. There are sun beds and umbrellas on the sandy beach next hotel for a fee. Noise and raids by tourists to the dining room, especially at dinner, are a chapter in themselves. There is often a lack of clean dishes, glasses, etc. The young staff is mostly uninterested.
According to the director, during our stay about 1000 guests were accommodated, most of which, in my estimate, 60% Russian-speaking (they often do as if it were their hotel) , 10% Czechs, 10% Poles and the rest from other countries.

In general room are ok, for a family of 4 we got a room with 2 single beds and one big, the down side we had a 1yo and we did not get a cot. AC in the room working ok. Bathroom a bit oldish, needs a good clean at less between visitors, could spot tooth paste on the top when we got the room. Daily cleaning done durring our visit. Had a nice sea view from balcony.

The hotel has it own little water park wich was great for kids. We stoped mostly at the top swimming pool as was more quiet. However there are more swimming pools, and the bottom once are with salty water.

Coming out of the hotel lots of shops on the main street. Bars and restaurants on the sea side, maybe a bit pricy but we enjoyed going out.

The hotel serves only beer, brady and ouzo last two was way to strong for me. There are not served free local kocktails in all inclusive. At the beach they got a bar that you need to pay for, however better go out as will be cheaper and nicer kocktails.

Food was quite bad. Every day nearly the same. Food is not tasty. Nothing labeled so you just having a guess what are you eating. Staff will pick the food that felt on the counter after a visitor and will put back on the container. Huge queue for the food, restaurant is not clean and take ages all the time until tables gets cleaned. Had to ask all the time for clean plates and cutlery. We end up eating out most of the time. Food starts to be taken away before the breakfeast/lunch/dinner time is done. They was bringing snaks just after 4pm at the top pool however we never got the chance to get some as usualy people in front will take huge amounts and then will waste half of it. You had to fight for food.

The hotel is very popular with russian and Ukrainian. I found that the visitors was welcomed by the nationality, when we arrived we was not welcomed at all, however people behind us(Ukrainians) got a very warm welcome. I found that the visitors were very rude, they will have food and drinks around pool and leave lot of rubish behind them, even if the were bins in few steps distance. People will smoke next to a baby and Did not care. People was walking and bumpimg about while I was carrying a baby in my arms and will give dirty looks.

The public toilets, next to the restaurant and pool was so dirty and disgusting, we had to go to the room all the time when needed.Defenitly is not a 4start hotel and would not recommend to go there.

Never like reading reviews as I didn’t think you could 100% trust someone else’s option but felt I needed to on this occasion. Daughter caught a sickness bug on second day and was extremely sick. Room was not good- shower leaks all over the floor where they have put a drain but left an inch of water after a shower. This is normal? Never 4 star most realistic is a 2 star. Staff in bottom pool bar very rude. Other pools were better. All inclusive drinks are beer, wine, whisky or ouzo. That’s it very thing else alcoholic is charged. Over crowded - eri beach is two hotels operating as one as I believe they purchased the neighbouring hotel sun bay which you can use - but their restaurant is closed so they are fully accommodating two hotels in one restaurant so it was always heaving and people are in such a rush to get their food that it’s absolute chaos. The food was always full but the waiters are so overworked they are rude and taking it out on the guests. If you believe you are paying for a 4 star hotel then you do expect a better standard of service so to have to line up in a queue for over 20 minutes to get a bowl of ice cream is infuriating. We found the location amazing. Perfect for children. The kids were oblivious to all the negatives which is a saving Grace as they had an amazing time but for adults the room was awful, luckily we only slept in their and not spend too much time, the restaurant was jam packed and I just didn’t look forward to a relaxing meal as it was a rat race to get food, majority of staff were exhausted and unfriendly and should not be working in a hotel with paying guests if they resent us. Advertised snack bar is the worst. At 4pm you have to queue at the bar to be served only one it eg a wrap or piece of cake. They would not give you more. This was like queuing in an Oliver production where you are hungry and want to ask if you can have one more but they won’t let you so we gave up. Only all inclusive holiday where we spent an extra £500 on eating out and decent alcohol and activities. Kids did love the mini disco but lady at the bar where you are charge was so rude it’s untrue. She wouldn’t change €2 coin for 2 x €1 coins so my son could play a game in the little arcade. Saying that if she did it for everyone that asked she wouldn’t have any change and walked off. So we refused to buy a drink from then on as we were so upset by her attitude. They just do what they like and we are at their mercy. The only way we would ever go back is if the hotel got taken over by a manager who wasn’t angry at the guests and staff who want to be there and again not blame the guests for the fact they are working all hours god sends. Such a great shame as I said everything about the hotel for kids is perfect the potential is there for it to be an amazing hotel which I believe it once was and could be but we have been completely put off by our experience of the hotel. Luckily we still had a great time as we walked down the beach towards the pool bars which offer a sun bed and water park at a cost but you can stay there all day and use facilities.

I was absolutely dreading coming to this hotel as I had made myself ill reading all the reviews but I can honestly say it was fab, I did my research so knew the AI drinks were limited to certain drinks I also knew it finished at 10pm but that was fine, the rooms were a little dated but were cleaned on a daily basis, bedding changed and clean towels, the staff we found pleasant just one lady on reception that was rude but everyone else was OK, it was other guests that we found rude and ignorant!!! We spent most of our days at the top pool near the sunbay banner which was beautiful, the restaurant we always found a seat, clean plates and cutlery and always found something nice to eat at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The afternoon snacks weren't much but we got by. There was always plenty of sunbeds round any of the pools. Air con was charged at 3 euros a day and worked fine, cleaners were pleasant, bar staff were pleasant even the manager pointed us in the right direction to our room. The only downside was entertainment but other than that I would say it was perfect. We travelled as a family of 3 with 13 year old daughter and my parents also came with us, after 10pm we used to take a walk to a couple of bars on beach front which were both lovely, king scorpion and peurto greco. I would deffo return to this hotel in a heartbeat and would recommend to anyone. Hope this puts people's minds at rest cos I know how anxious I was.

I don’t know what type of food some of these people eat but it’s the most awful food in a all inclusive we’ve ever had. Fish fingers and chicken nuggets tasted exactly the same. Food Luke warm same for lunch and dinner. No plates no cutlery no dishes only some tea plates staff are very few they don’t set the table when you sit down. When you ask them something they disappear. We was hungry
The rooms are good large fridge for the food you need to buy because of the hotels bad food. Good shower good position of hotel nice pools
Shame about the food because it could be a really nice hotel but the staff just aren’t bothered
The lifeguard spent most of his time looking at his phone
No entertainment first week of June

We were a bit concerned with some of the reviews before choosing to stay here, but thoroughly enjoyed our time at Eri Beach and Village hotel.

It's basically what you pay for, a reasonably priced family hotel, that our 9 year old child absolutely loved.

There are several pools, most are chlorinated, however the one with the water slides is salt water (stings your eyes a bit!). Only fault with the pools is that they weren't open until 10am, then closed at 6pm. You can also access the water slides in the hotel next door, Star Beach, but you have to buy a wristband which is €10 per day. These have rubber rings, much to our son's entertainment, so were decent value for money really.

The sea is so clear, but there are a few rocks as you first walk out. Amazing for snorkelling though! There's a little sea pool for children, sheltered from the waves by rocks.

The room itself was very spacious, but the whole village has a very odd layout, it's almost as if they have bought out 3-4 separate hotels and built the complex around them.

The food in the restaurant was alright, nothing amazing, but also wasn't bad, just became a bit boring as it's pretty much the same food for the duration of the stay, but again you get what you pay for.

The restaurant manager and staff were amazing!

It became so busy at times and some holiday makers of certain nationalities were very rude, greedy, selfish and clearly don't know how to queue. I'm not sure how staff keep their cool with them to be honest. They were very efficient at changing tables, bringing fresh food out and so on. On plenty of occasions we witnessed staff carrying hot trays of food, yet obnoxious tourists were too ignorant and impatient to move for them. Literally couldn't fault the efforts of the restaurant staff, but it was the other holiday makers that made us eat elsewhere on a few occasions. This sentiment was shared by a few other English couples we spoke to.

Drinks included in all inclusive were red, white and rose wines, local Greek lager (4 seasons), ouzo, brandy and a variety of fruit juices and soft drinks. Only downside was it ended at 10pm and you had to pay if you wanted alcohol after this time. These are served in plastic throwaway cups which were flimsy and not very environmentally friendly.

Lots of amenities a short walk away. Shops, restaurants, pharmacies etc a short walk away in main Hersonissos.

Activities such as go karts, crazy golf, bungee jumping, jet skis a few hundred yards away.

Children's entertainment was good, albeit a bit repetitive.

I'd recommend a visit to Old Town Hersonissos up in the hills, beautiful Greek Tavernas and a €12 taxi from Eri Beach.

Overall, it is a good hotel, lots to keep the kids happy which is all that matters really, I'd just advise bringkmg some extra cash to eat out for a few nights of your holiday.

I would evaluate the hotel 3* at max. The room we were given was literally in the reception, so through the thin door we could hear all the talks and reception music from the very early morning till late night. After 2 days of asking, finally got it changed. The hotel needs serious renovation, furniture and bathrooms are very outdated, room towels completely worn out, beach towels given with 10eur deposit and 2eur wash cost to be replaced. In June they charge extra money for the A/C 3eur/ night. For the check out 2pm they asked to pay 23eur. Food is very repetitive.

This place has a huge potential, area is nice, close to everything, but that's all the positives. The management of the hotel should think about themselves or be changed. The hotel has older rooms, not much maintained, half of the equipment not working, fire equipment in the corridors making beeps all the time, si probably not working, if you are lucky then you do not get stuck in elevator. Food is really average and nearly the same every day. If you do not go early, then everything is nearly eaten and not filled back. Personal in restaurant not much friendly - after waiting in a queue for ice cream i was very rudely told that i should look at the watch and no ice cream for me. Haven't seen more rude staff in all the places I travelled until now. Bar offers poor quality drinks - mixed brandy with water and cola, very very light beer and some strange wine. Better bar is situated closer to the beach, but opened later afternoon and it's paid. Of course all the night "entertainment" is in front of the paid bar. All in bar closes at 22:00 exactly. Pools is nice, but closes too early at 18:00 from my point of view. Hotel is advertised as a family place, but every one meter you can read that no lifeguard service is not provided. From the entertainment there is nothing for kids eventhough i red in the other reviews that it's great. I did my very best to find something, but no luck. Since there are many reviews to do not trust negative reviews, however in this case I have to say that they are 100% true. This hotel should have max 2* stars and really work to get improved.

This hotel is very poorly managed by very rude people who have no regard for customer service. I tried to give this hotel the benefit if the doubt but I'm afraid the negative reviews are true. If you have the money to go elsewhere I would. The red headed older lady is very rude and the barman made u feel like u were being greedy having the crappy drinks they provided. The hotel was like a ghost town in the evening as there was no entertainment. A little disco in the bar you have to buy drinks for half an hour and a kids club that opens when it feels like. The bar where the actual drinks are served has nothing. There was a few machines that entertained the kids a bit but they got shipped into a lorry while we were there. They were literally closing the hotel up before our eyes. There was table tennis but the ball was kept in reception which was a fair distance. The one evening the ball broke and when the kids tried to get a new one the red headed receptionist sternly said no ping long til Tomorow. People were walking around bored stiff and obviously chose to go out of the complex. The food was extremely repetitive and my children are not fussy but lived on chip sandwiches. Not a chicken nugget in site. The burgers and pizza were awful and it felt like they were filling the trays up with anything they could find. The one morning they had carrots for breakfast. The first day arrived I saw a little baby with what I thought was chicken pox, only to be the victim of mosquitos myself and I suffered over a hundred bites. The complex does nothing to deter these. Mosquitos and its a mosquito paradise. The toilets which facilitated everyone were plastered in them and disabled people had to go to their rooms cos they couldn't use them. If u are desperate for an holiday the location and pool is fab, the cleaners were lovely too. However this hotel gives cretians a bad name and u could be mistaken for thinking that they are all rude when on fact they are lovely people. The owners of this hotel really need to look at how it's managed. It's such a shame as it has massive potential but I for one will never recommend it or will ever be returning.

How to start
This is maximum 2 star hotel, I don't understand why they said is 4 star hotel
Unfriendly staff this includes receptionists , rooms are very old and very basic furniture and cheap, bathroom damage tiles, horrible A/C is only pushing air, They have three swimming pools but no lifeguard on duty, loads of sharp corners sow that is very dangerous in special for kids ,animation team 0, food is ok , lot of options but when you staying ten days you get fed up with the same food. umbrellas and beach beds lots of them are damage and rust. Location is great and sea is gorgeous.
This definitely is not four star hotel
