Lovely hotel and grounds . Had a room with a small balcony with view of mountains and the sea. The bathroom flooded and overflowed from a drain in the floor into the bedroom one night after taking a shower . Typical Greek plumbing. Prompt attention and clearing up. Any problem with the room was dealt with immediately. Rooms were very clean . Reception very helpful. Buffet meals . Breakfast good , evening meal main courses a bit hit and miss on quality.

Just got back from my 20th time at the best hotel in Crete! The staff, management, dinning room cleaning and the amazing rooms with/without a pool This is the just the best hotel to stay for families couples or just solo!

A pretty hotel, like a Grecian village, with two nice outdoor pools and an indoor pool. We had a quiet room as requested upstairs and at the end of the row with a sea view over roofs. We got there late and a cold plate and some fruit was provided which was very nice. The staff were very helpful and the room was very comfy although the double bed was two single beds with separate bed linen so a bit strange. The shower could only be used handheld otherwise it flooded the bathroom but it was good and hot. The location was really good for us as it is right on the edge of Hersonissos, which was too brash and noisy for us whereas this was lovely and quiet. There was a parking lot which you paid a deposit for which was fine. The hotel is quite hard to find in the dark and it is very close to the sea and quite dark! The food was good, particularly breakfast - all buffet style though. …

This hotel is set in pretty grounds about a mile north of Hersinossos town. It is not on a bus route but is within a pleasant walk of the main resort to the south. Across the road are small sandy beaches with lovely views along the coast. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well furnished. A good number of them have private pools. We made good use of the pool by the restaurant. The one in the spa was supposedly heated but felt colder than the outdoor unheated one! Our room had a balcony on the top floor of a block towards the top of the site with views across olive groves and towards the sea. The food was delicious with plenty of choice for us vegetarians. The wine list was good and reasonably priced, with decent local wines costing 16 euros and upwards. Very friendly helpful staff. We enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return.…

Spent a lovely time here last week, everything was lovely at the hotel, staff so friendly and welcoming. But I feel sorry we did not get to say goodbye to the restaurant manager, I don't even know his name, but he was so hospitable and friendly, so please if you're reading this can you pass on the message. The lady I managed to say goodbye and thanks too, and our last morning breakfast, I only saw him briefly, but the only time we didn't get to speak, but because we didn't leave till late afternoon, thought I'd see him again, so please pass on our gratitude. I was with my teenage son of 17. Do hope he gets the message as he deserves many thanks !

This hotel is right on a pretty sea front and in walking distance of Hersonissos. Rooms spacious and clean. Food above average but hot food was never very hot which was a shame. Hotel has two pools outside and a small one inside. There are kettles and cups in the room but no tea/coffee etc. included.

This year my family and I decided to take a trip to Crete.We stayed at Hersonissos Maris Hotel.In general the hotel was okay.The personel was very kind and friendly people.They took great care of us nothing to complain. One thing we were very pleased though was our hotel cleaning.The room was cleaned everyday.We never once in our stay did find it dirty.So thank you so much to the cleaning lade.She made our stay there much more pleasant.

We were looking for a quite hotel not far away from Hersonissos and we made the best choice. The hotel is 10 minutes away from the town, the area very beautiful and all the necessary is just around. We loved Yalos restaurant and Ha bar next to the hotel. We rented a car for few days in greenways and booked some tours via analipsi tours so we actually didn't stay in the hotel all day long but we enjoyed our room for relaxing. The beds are very comfortable which is rare in the hotels. Room service is good and the reception is friendly and helpful. We will definitely come here once again.

When we arrived were greeted very warmly at the reception and a meal was left in our room which was absolutely excellent. The rooms are clean and tidy and continually cleaned on a daily basis. The food was lukewarm but the service by the restaurant manager and his staff made up for this. The lady in charge on the front desk was very standoffish. Not willing to help or offer other choices and made things quite difficult. We were not given any instructions or guide about the hotel and had to learn by ourselves as we went along. We saw information about the hotel left for another room but we were told that’s not for us . Even to stay on in a hotel as our flight was late we had to be charged €30 which normally its standard to allow guests to stay in an empty room. I didn’t find her very hospitable or warm at all end dread it going to the front desk. The spa was excellent and I’d give it 10/10. However I would have preferred proper towels and not throwaway disposable. Overall it was a good experience…

Have just come back from a week here. The hotel itself is in a quiet area with of course stunning views and next to the sea, We arrived late one night and on checking in was told a meal had been left in our room as the restaurant was closed by then, really lovely plates of cold meat and cheese and salad were in the fridge. Fruit and rolls were left wrapped on a table. No drink was left. There was a kettle and cups in the room but tea and coffee were never provided. Breakfast and dinners in the dining room had lots of choice so I would have thought for even the pickiest person there was something they could eat. The same gentleman that booked us into our room the first night seemed to be the manager as he was always there and always friendly and helpful. I found reception staff were very helpful too especially when I asked about taxis and buses. The lovely young lady who cleaned our room was always cheerful and did a thorough job each day. It always amazes me how hard these people work, having been brought up myself in the hotel business I know how difficult it can be. Masks were required to be worn inside areas. You could take them off when seated. This I think is a sensible idea. Hand gel was on every table and inside nearly every room. Overall a lovely friendly and clean place to stay. I only have two minor complaints. One is that the not slip texture in the bath has worn down and taking a shower is slippery and I think dangerous. We were in room 732, incase it’s better in other rooms, and the beach that is supposed to be part of the hotel is mostly rocks which we already new before coming but was surprised when just after 5 one night when we just wanted to sit and enjoy the sound of the sea, I’d just sat on one of the sun beds and a man appeared out of nowhere to say I had to pay? I thought as this was part of the hotel it would have been free. Forgot to say, the lady from the front sea are eating place also belonging to the hotel was also so sweet and helpful. She would see us walking over and preempted our coffee order, So on the whole really lovely place, great people working there, but maybe bring some coffee or tea with you or buy in their shop.
