Have just come back from a week here. The hotel itself is in a quiet area with of course stunning views and next to the sea, We arrived late one night and on checking in was told a meal had been left in our room as the restaurant was closed by then, really lovely plates of cold meat and cheese and salad were in the fridge. Fruit and rolls were left wrapped on a table. No drink was left. There was a kettle and cups in the room but tea and coffee were never provided. Breakfast and dinners in the dining room had lots of choice so I would have thought for even the pickiest person there was something they could eat. The same gentleman that booked us into our room the first night seemed to be the manager as he was always there and always friendly and helpful. I found reception staff were very helpful too especially when I asked about taxis and buses. The lovely young lady who cleaned our room was always cheerful and did a thorough job each day. It always amazes me how hard these people work, having been brought up myself in the hotel business I know how difficult it can be. Masks were required to be worn inside areas. You could take them off when seated. This I think is a sensible idea. Hand gel was on every table and inside nearly every room. Overall a lovely friendly and clean place to stay. I only have two minor complaints. One is that the not slip texture in the bath has worn down and taking a shower is slippery and I think dangerous. We were in room 732, incase it’s better in other rooms, and the beach that is supposed to be part of the hotel is mostly rocks which we already new before coming but was surprised when just after 5 one night when we just wanted to sit and enjoy the sound of the sea, I’d just sat on one of the sun beds and a man appeared out of nowhere to say I had to pay? I thought as this was part of the hotel it would have been free. Forgot to say, the lady from the front sea are eating place also belonging to the hotel was also so sweet and helpful. She would see us walking over and preempted our coffee order, So on the whole really lovely place, great people working there, but maybe bring some coffee or tea with you or buy in their shop. Watch out for the slippery shower and don’t sit on the beach sun beds unles you are staying for a few hours,…

We”ve just came back from our trip to Crete and I can’t wait to share me review about this amazing hotel with everyone. We’ve been traveling with our 5 months son and I am truly happy that we’ve chosen Hersonissos Maris as our main place to stay. Personnel was just amazing, ready to fulfil any of our requests- from a baby crib in the room to the late checkout. The cleaning is done every day, the lady who cleaned our room was extremely nice! We liked the restaurant where they sense breakfasts and dinners a lot. It has nice little terrace overlooking the sea and pool. The breakfast was the same every morning but in 10 days we didn’t get bored, everything was fresh and tasty And dinner was always good too - plenty of choices, always fish and meat, seafood, fruits, veggies, veggies, deserts. SPA was great too! Grateful to Selina for the back massage and especially thankful to Angela for making me less stress less mama :) Few words about the location. This is the main reason why we’ve chosen this hotel is the location. Our baby doesn’t like long car rides and we wanted to stay somewhere near to the airport but in a beautiful quiet area. Also the hotel has nice territory with olive trees, it is not huge but enough to have a walk with a stroller. Also the hotel is just next to a road along nice little bays that is also pleasant to walk by. Everything is nearby. Car rental, 2 nice restaurants, Lidl in 10 min walk and a small shop just on the right that has everything. Lobby is very comfortable, my husband was working from there and WiFi was enough to do zoom calls. Oh and we loved the Cup bar too! You can see great sunrises over there and the coffee is good too :) The only thing to keep in mind if you plan you trip is that the hotel has many outdoor pools (shared and private) but they are not heated. We’ve been here in mid October and the weather weather was changing all the time so it was too cold to swim. The hotel has an indoor pool too but it was closed due to COVID-19 restrictions. However we managed to swim in the sea instead, the temperature of the water was 20 C, which was sometimes higher than the air :) Thank you Hersonissos Maris! We hope to come back!…
For the holidays this year we had a suite reserved at hersonissos maris hotel and suites. We were very pleased with the room.It was very clean and every 3 days we had new flowers with different designs brought to us.Also all the covid 19 rules were always followed. What we didnt like was the restaurant and the food was basic.Menu so simple and there was not enough personel to explain us the menu.So much work needed at that restaurant. There is missing a good manager there at the restaurant.
Very clean hotel..Smells so nice.As soon as you enter the reception area you find a divine smell that fills you with joy..The inside of the room is no different. It smells good everywhere there..Such a good job in cleaning at that hotel.....
Great hotel next to the beach and at 1 km from the center of Hersonissos. Perfect service from the reception until the rooms. Great food: big choice at the breakfast as well as for the diner Clean rooms Friendly personel
My wife and I just came back from our vacations a couple of days ago. This year we decided to spend a week in crete,Greece and stayed at hersonissos maris hotel. At first sight the hotel was the hotel was nice and from what we had seen at the pictures beautiful too. The dissapointing part comes later though. The room was was not the one we were excpecting. It was very very simple. The food was very bland and all the same thing you could find everyday at the bufe.Sometimes we ate outside just for better food. For the price you pay I excpected so much more from the hotel. The only thing I can't complaim about was the cleaning. We stayed at room 431.Our room was always clean, the cleaning lady made sure to come everyday and made us feel so comfortable. She was one of the most gentle women I have ever met.Miranda was her name and I want to thank her her for making our stay so much better and for leaving us with little good memories from greece. …
The hotel is definitely not a four star hotel as it was advertised by our travel agency. It actually requires some improvements here and there. However, the personnel was kind, working hard to make guests feel welcomed. The food was ok, we were half-board, I am a very fussy eater and there were choices, on some evenings I was quite impressed with the food, on others the selection was just fine, but never left with an empty stomach. The location is great, we stayed in a sea view room and could hear the waves hitting the shore from the bed. I recommend it and definitely we will pay a second visit.
Old hotel but very clean...restorant is old too and so simple buffe..food need much to do it needs to have more food you can choose from.....hotel is old..but good that personel try so hard to keep clean..women who clean rooms do the best....a big thank you to them...a big thank you to Miranda our housekeeping..😁..all time smile and kind and working very nice
This august my friends and I took our yearly trip to Crete. We decided to stay at Hersonissos Maris Hotel.I don't know why though cause it was the worst decision ever. The prices were spicy and the service was awful. We had to pay for inedible food, very bad and poor bufe.We had to pay for everything. In the end it was better eating someplace outside the hotel.Anywhere was better then there. For the price we paid to stay there we could have found much better. The room was clean though.Very clean and I thank the cleaning lady for making us remember something nice from our stay.It was the only good thing going for that hotel. We were not wellcome nowere in that hotel..either to stay near to the beach ...they didn't let us enjoy..our summer holidays
