Dear Mr Joe C, First of all, thank you for taking the time taken to share your opinion about our hotel. The food served is made everyday fresh with mostly locally produced ingredients based in Greek and Mediterranean cuisine. We are used to be praised for the culinary experience offered to our guests throughout the season and it is the most praised service of the hotel. Since this incident have took place in the hotel you should have reported it immediately and we would have called a doctor to prescribe medicine to ease your pain and we would have made special diet food for recovery of stomach ache. Since we use only plastic glasses in the restaurant and the bar area, we can't help but to wonder where have you found them, as taking glasses from the DownTown bar is strictly forbidden. The maids could not take glasses from your room as they would have thought they should be yours. FInally, the sun bathes the pool for more than 4 hours even during the last days of October so we suppose it is just an exaggeration of sort. We are sorry for the bad experience you had, but you should have come into contact with us and we could have made everything better for you.

We (3 family members) spent a week here all inclusive. Hotel itself is OK, our room had balcony on busy street side, but air conditioning (for free) made it bearable. Service. Just perfect, friendly, helpful, especially barman Catalin Constantin. Food. All the same for breakfest (no problem with that), good choice of meals for lunch and dinner. Drinks on bar. Wine (red and white) simply bad, beer barely drinkable. Raki was good though. Beach. 5 minutes walk, although if you do not want to pay for a sunbed, you might have troubles finding a place. All in all, worth money paid

Where do i begin.hotel was in a very poor state considering it was updated in 2016 and there the pics they use on the website to sell the hotel.the room was very basic and unatractive although cleaned everyday.food was not made for british taste as sprouts carrots peas and yes chips are not desireable for breakfast when asked at reception why this was the reply was 80% russian occupancy.the seating around the pool was terrible broken rundown and ripped cushions on seats the staff were nice and polite but that doesnt make amy difference if your surroundings arnt good would not reccommend this hotel to anyone and would not use again.not even 1 star oh and all inclusive ha ha raki ouzo gin were the only spirits you could have i just gave up eating and drinking there.crete is a lovely place lovely people lovely places to eat drink and be happy just not at this hotel.

Dear guests, Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences at Pela Maria Hotel. Indeed our occupancy at times were based on Russian guests, but that was not a factor to change our menu to suit better to these guests. Every day in our breakfast buffet you can find baked kidney beans, omelette or eggs or scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages, that are part of an English Breakfast, as well as cheese, pancakes with honey and various jams, that can be found in a typical French breakfast. As for the fabrics, unfortunately by the end of every season our outdoor fabrics tend to tear apart, due to constant exposure to sun and humidity which removes the initial elasticity and make them easy to tear. All fabrics are changed by the end of each season and newer are put in place awaiting the guests to use them. The rooms in the photos of our website are the same with the rooms in the hotel, as the photo-shooting took place just after the renovation of the rooms. Cleanliness is our top priority as we want to keep a high level of hygiene in all hotel's areas. The all-inclusive offerings are clearly stated on our website and in all brochures given to tour operators for our guests to see and agree prior making their booking with what the hotel offers. Raki, Ouzo, Brandy, Beer and white-red wines are our offered alcoholic drinks as mentioned in the descriptions. Best regards, The management team

I had holidays in the middle of June with my boy friend at Pela Maria Hotel which is located in the center of Hersonissos, 40 meters until the beach which you need to pay about umbrella and seat but it is happening everywhere. Very good nice life with many bars and tavernas with excellent view and really much fan. About hotel the biggest problem is about room which was not so comfortable but they are trying to keep it clean and this is what we liked much and women are cleaning all day until the night. The food is tasty except some times that the buffet looks the same but if you taste you understand many different dishes but for 3 stars it is value for money. The staff is very helpful and mr Mathioudakis Pavlos who is manager of the hotel, (I took his card because I had a little problem at the beginning but he fixed it) he is trying to check everything. You can see him every where from the morning until night and he is speaking good Russian language I think his wife is Russian that why!!! Also the Receptionists are speaking good Russian Language but I would prefer them to be more polite and smilling… Some loud from bar Down Town which is downstairs of the building of the hotel but is ok. We had fantastic time and we want come back next year. Hotel for category is value for money and I give 5 from 5

When we first checked in the very friendly receptionist told us there was a problem with some of the rooms and that there was not a single room for me and I would have to share a family room with my friends a married couple which was not a good start, but once this was sorted the next day the room was clean and the bed was really comfortable and the shower room, although very small was adequate. I did have to ask for my room room to be cleaned one day as it hadn't been done and it was sorted straight away. The staff are really helpful and friendly and the food was plentiful and really good. The pool are had plenty of seating, the pool is very cold and not many people braved it more than twice. This is a lovely small hotel well worth its 3 stars.
