Nice and very clean hotel in the heart of Hersonissos with everything you need around! The beach is only 5 minutes away by feet...amazing! So many nice bars around and of course the Down Town exactly outside the hotel.
This hotel is really value for money! If you don’t want to pay lots of money this 3* hotel is a very good choice! We didn’t use the pool as the beach was only 4’ away by feet. In the heart of Hersonisos only 20’ far from Heraklion makes it a hidden gem that will let you enjoy at low cost !
Worst hotel I have ever stayed in the only good thing was the bar which is nothing todo with the hotel food is crap and service is terrible shower curtains where all mouldy the toilet brush was all rusty there was dirty glasses and wine glasses left in the room all week and the women on the desk was rude I would never recommend this hotel to anyone we also found hair in are food me and my over half both spent two days on the toilet after eating the all inclusive food and the pool was dirty and never gets the sun on it if it does it’s only for about half an hour
We (3 family members) spent a week here all inclusive. Hotel itself is OK, our room had balcony on busy street side, but air conditioning (for free) made it bearable. Service. Just perfect, friendly, helpful, especially barman Catalin Constantin. Food. All the same for breakfest (no problem with that), good choice of meals for lunch and dinner. Drinks on bar. Wine (red and white) simply bad, beer barely drinkable. Raki was good though. Beach. 5 minutes walk, although if you do not want to pay for a sunbed, you might have troubles finding a place. All in all, worth money paid
Where do i begin.hotel was in a very poor state considering it was updated in 2016 and there the pics they use on the website to sell the hotel.the room was very basic and unatractive although cleaned everyday.food was not made for british taste as sprouts carrots peas and yes chips are not desireable for breakfast when asked at reception why this was the reply was 80% russian occupancy.the seating around the pool was terrible broken rundown and ripped cushions on seats the staff were nice and polite but that doesnt make amy difference if your surroundings arnt good would not reccommend this hotel to anyone and would not use again.not even 1 star oh and all inclusive ha ha raki ouzo gin were the only spirits you could have i just gave up eating and drinking there.crete is a lovely place lovely people lovely places to eat drink and be happy just not at this hotel.…
I had holidays in the middle of June with my boy friend at Pela Maria Hotel which is located in the center of Hersonissos, 40 meters until the beach which you need to pay about umbrella and seat but it is happening everywhere. Very good nice life with many bars and tavernas with excellent view and really much fan. About hotel the biggest problem is about room which was not so comfortable but they are trying to keep it clean and this is what we liked much and women are cleaning all day until the night. The food is tasty except some times that the buffet looks the same but if you taste you understand many different dishes but for 3 stars it is value for money. The staff is very helpful and mr Mathioudakis Pavlos who is manager of the hotel, (I took his card because I had a little problem at the beginning but he fixed it) he is trying to check everything. You can see him every where from the morning until night and he is speaking good Russian language I think his wife is Russian that why!!! Also the Receptionists are speaking good Russian Language but I would prefer them to be more polite and smilling… Some loud from bar Down Town which is downstairs of the building of the hotel but is ok. We had fantastic time and we want come back next year. Hotel for category is value for money and I give 5 from 5…
When we first checked in the very friendly receptionist told us there was a problem with some of the rooms and that there was not a single room for me and I would have to share a family room with my friends a married couple which was not a good start, but once this was sorted the next day the room was clean and the bed was really comfortable and the shower room, although very small was adequate. I did have to ask for my room room to be cleaned one day as it hadn't been done and it was sorted straight away. The staff are really helpful and friendly and the food was plentiful and really good. The pool are had plenty of seating, the pool is very cold and not many people braved it more than twice. This is a lovely small hotel well worth its 3 stars.
When we arrived at the hotel at 4am at first sight we thought we had made a mistake. When we entered the reception was welcoming. The room was basic but very clean, as the shower, a bit on the small side but adequate. In the morning when we went for breakfast our first sight inside the hotel we were pleasantly surprised, it was light and clean. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was plentiful and always well presented and good enough for a 5 star hotel. Outside the pool area had plenty of seating and the pool was looked after well. We had a lovely week and would have loved to have stayed longer, and we would definitely go there again. We would like to thank the staff, from the manager down to the cleaners for a wonderful week. Special thanks to the reception and bar staff. Although it is rated as a 3 star hotel the hospitality makes it 5 star.…
there are some mixed reviews for this Hotel and would like to clear up some issues from the point of a Uk traveler. We stayed for 10 days the last 10 days of Sept 2017. The Hotel is located right in the center along the main high street... so there will be Noise ... we took ear plugs in case and if we had been given the room we booked [front high street view] would most likely needed them, but we got given a rear room. The room i would put no better than 2 * The room is clean but not great with the smallest en-suite i've ever had on holiday, you have to sit on the side on loo... ok the guys maybe ok but its compact and the shower is awful small with a a plastic curtain thats just about impossible to stop water getting on the floor, so your always walking on a wet floor and our room we had a puddle all the time around the toilet from the shower, while were on the shower issue only once did we have hot water and this is a common issue with most reviews so the owners will and should address this asap. The room was kept clean with towels and sheets are changed every 2 days... i think sheets needed changing daily as the sand gets everywhere and the beds are hard. we went for all inclusive ... so 3 meals a day... [No Snacks like bigger hotels] Drinks are really limited in choice and i personnel had very few. The food i personally felt was ok for a 3* plenty of it but could have been hotter at times but felt overall this was the best part of the hotel and very friendy helpful staff and clean. The Hotel has a small un heated outside pool which saw no sunshine during the time we were there and only every saw one person brave enough to use it as it was really cold, this maybe better during the main summer months when the suns higher in the sky. There are sun beds but not many so you need to bag one early... we never tried to bag any as this time of the year there's not a lot of sun reaching the area around the pool... the area was kept clean. The Hotel shares some of the frontage with its own private bar area which is where the main evening activities are held until the early hours or later. There's a small lift to the upper floors and a spiral staircase with a food hall next door which is handy for drinks etc. Overall the hotel is set up more for the Germans there were very few UK travelers while we were there, the foods ok and the hotel was clean but for us the bedrooms and shower really let it down. we loved the area but would not come back to this Hotel... dont get me wrong we had a great time but really need an hotel with hot water and better en-suit. The Pela Maria is a very basic hotel with good Food and clean and helpful staff. We dont have children and could not really see anything on offer here for small children the pool too deep and would be a worry and thats about all there is to offer for children ... but there are better just down the road.…
Once again the staff at this hotel almost fell over themselves being helpful for the price the rooms are clean no frills but after all you come to Creta for the weather the beaches and if your like us people watching as they pass by up the strip. This hotel is ideal for people who like short transfers and being central beaches are all great and very close hundreds of restaurant's bars to choose from. 24hr reception always someone on hand either in the restaurant all inclusive bar or George's street bar . The street bar is a very very popular spot and should not be missed. Food is more than good enough clean towels in rooms as I said before it's not the Ritz but your not paying for that .
