The Location was ace! Right in the middle of town with hundreds of shops including supermarkets, restaurants, souvenir shops etc. The continental breakfast was really nice and the cooked breakfast had the basics, (baked beans, eggs, tomatoes, potatoes, bacon), however; it was rather bland and repetitive.

The room was clean and spacious with a nice balcony but the view of the sea was restricted by the annex directly in front of the hotel. We were on the 3rd floor. The view would have probably been better on the 4th floor.

Tea, coffee and water are not supplied in the rooms - this should be basic in all hotels. Breakfast, dinner and hot drinks cannot be taken to your rooms. The shutters came down and food service stopped immediately at the exact times; 10am and 9pm.
There is a cost of €6 per day for Air Conditioning in certain rooms.

I spent 3 weeks at this hotel on a working holiday and initially chose it because of the great WiFi, but it exceeded my expectations on so many other levels. They get all the important things spot-on. Fantastic reception staff, who are so friendly and go the extra mile to help - specially Ellie, who is fantastic! The food is delicious, fresh and authentic, and the cleaning staff do an amazing job, and always smiling and friendly. It was a difficult time while I was there, with unprecedented extreme heat, but all the staff in the hotel handled that with the utmost professionalism and care. The location is also great, just a 5 min walk from the beach but also a little away from the main strip, which makes it a welcome haven from the noise after a night out. I had a mountain view, but there are also rooms with a pool view. Great aircon too. Overall I had a great 3 weeks this little gem of a hotel.

Good hotel. Value for money.
Eating becomes a bit monotonous after 3 days, with little variety. Meat often well done. Drinking while eating is cheap.
We were here with 4 friends and we slept 2 by 2. Our 2 friends had a new room and we had an old one. The old rooms are clean, but the shower is not so clean and you don't get towels in the shower, if you want that you have to pay extra... a bit of a shame...
The new rooms have air conditioning as standard. In the old ones you also have to pay extra for this (6 euros per day).
There is no sun at the pool.
Bartender got angry with us once. In the beginning they were very friendly, but towards the end they were less so.
When you are eating they quickly take away your plate and your cutlery...
Breakfast starts at 7am... a bit too early in my opinion.

Simple couple without too many requirements but there paying a certain price for a circuit to arrive in such a hotel no.thank you. Bad experience for a first time in Crete. Fortunately the day was on an excursion. Very bad reception, we were dropped on the main road and had to drag our suitcases to the hotel 300 to 400 m in a group with elderly people and it was going uphill as well. We were handed out papers and scrambled to find the rooms which were in various buildings...and disappointment. Cramped room which overlooked the street right in front of the balconies of the people opposite, no privacy. A TV with 1 French channel which only worked one out of three times. The bathroom very rustic. Nothing to put our things down. Shower tray with curtains. What hygiene... when you think about it sticking to you when you take a shower. The faucets were all verdigris, the shower hose was moldy, the rusty bar and to finish off, the bed was very hard and the room was noisy, nothing was isolated, we could hear everything that was happening next door
The nice tiled corridors with the suitcases on wheels when people leave the hotel at 4 a.m. to pick up their bus. It makes a hell of a racket.
The swimming pool is a pool in the middle of the restaurant tables where it feels like a canteen, nothing interesting and nothing to do in the hotel as for the beach, everything is privatized by the restaurants €7 per deckchair in.sept per person but no choice if you want to enjoy the sea a little.
Hotel conclusion in Fuir for a minimum of comfort and cleanliness

My stay at the Central Hersonissos was perhaps one of the worst experiences I have ever had during my travels.

I arrive at the hotel and from the entrance I understand that it is not the best in cleanliness, after checking in I go to the room and as soon as I enter there is a very bad smell, I look at the room a bit and I immediately notice that there are mosquitoes crushed on the walls and that the floor had not been swept/washed well, as I find dirt under the desk. Then I go to the bathroom and find some paper already thrown in the toilet.

Having noticed the poor state of cleanliness of the room, I take some photos and go to complain at the reception, the very kind employee sees the photos and assigns me another room. The latter is larger and less smelly, but in terms of cleanliness it still left something to be desired.
So I accept the change, but in any case afterwards I decide to go down and buy a sanitizing detergent and a rag to clean the bathroom and the support surfaces of the room, as in the bathroom tub I found dead mosquitoes, hair and stains.
As for the common areas, they are always dirty, the corridors stained and dusty, as is the elevator.
One evening they left a broom with a dirty dustpan in the corridor, while another evening I found dust accumulated with a small cockroach which I had to crush instantly to prevent it from entering my room.

In all this filth they have the nerve to tell you that the towels are changed every 4 days. Furthermore, air conditioning and safe are paid separately (air conditioning €6 per night).
The furniture is old and the bed is a stone slab.
Another inconvenient thing is the way in which the room is locked, as the key is attached to the card which must be inserted into the appropriate slot to activate the electricity. In practice the door can only be closed by turning the lock with the key, but if you don't insert the card into the slot you won't even have a second of electricity, so in the evening when it's dark outside and no light enters the room, to close the door door from the inside you need to use your phone's flashlight otherwise you are in the dark.

It is a hotel absolutely to be avoided for those accustomed to normal standards of cleanliness.

The only positive things were the central location and the friendliness and friendliness of the reception staff.

Just back from a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The staff made us feel so welcome especially the bartender Yannis (Gentjav) who not only serves great cocktails but is a true gentleman and gave us lots of advice and local recommendations. It's a small hotel I'd say more suited to adults but it was clean, the food was lovely and there was a good fresh selection every day. The location is perfect, few minutes from the beach, bars and walking distance to the quieter traditional villages just 10 minutes away. Completely made us fall in love with Crete.

We stayed at the Central Hersonissos Hotel for a week in August.

As for the staff, we found some wonderful people, like Butch and the bartender, who knew how to answer every single request about the most beautiful places to visit.

The area is not the best for those who want to be on the beach, as there are only small and private beaches, but for nightlife it is wonderful!

It is also an excellent starting point for visiting all of Crete (we recommend Matala, Stalida and the beaches towards the West, up to Saradari Beach)

The food was excellent, obviously for the price you pay you can't expect the world, but there is an excellent variety of food that is always fresh and always different.

To conclude, we had a great time and can't wait to return!

The room was big enough. Nice design, very clean, good view from the balcony.

The stuff was amazing, waiters were polite and hardworking, guys from the reception were helpful and friendly.

The food was perfect. The cook working in the mornings was very nice. Very delicious ice-cream. Everything was fresh. The restaurant area was clean.

The only confusing thing is - that cleaning ladies wouldn’t take the rubbish from the bathroom, although they always cleaned the bin in the room.

Generally it was great! Recommending for sure.

Hotel Central is about 200 metres from the main road. So you get nothing from the hustle and bustle, but is quickly there and on the beach.
There is a free parking space 100m away.
The hotel is divided into a main building and an outbuilding.
In the main building there is reception (24h), dining room directly by the pool and bar.
We arrived very late (1 a.m.), were received friendly. We also got a meal and a drink.
In the annex there is a small, older elevator. He got us into 2. Floor.
The room was relatively small, had a balcony facing the street, was very clean. The bathroom is not brand new, but ok. The shower with cloth takes some getting used to.
The bath and towels and the bedcloth were used every 2nd. Changed day.
The cleaning was done very carefully by a lady.
Breakfast, as well as dinner was very good. Typical Greek food.
In the morning there were feta cheese, sausage, ham, but also baked beans, fried potatoes, eggs, sweet pastries, Greek yogurt etc.
In the evening, the quality was different. Sometimes there were delicious meat dishes and fish.
Always French fries and pasta.
The drinks are good and not very expensive.
The staff was always very friendly and helpful. Thank you for that.

Very good food and friendly staff.Especialy the lady at the reception desk and the following persons in the restaurant Alexandros (Chef), Petros, Giannis, Alesia and Vassilis. Thank you for the great service and always making us feel special and welcome. The hotel is very central and close to beaches, shopping and entertainment areas. Unfortunately our room was above the bar and this was the only negative point as it was very noisy during the nights. When arriving at the hotel the remote for air conditioning and use of safe was at a extra cost per day which I feel was unreasonable. We did however pay the extra 6 euro per day for air conditioner as it was much needed due to it being very hot during the nights. I would recomend the hotel as it was good value for money.
