We spend a week there every June and August. Still our favourite! Not too much to add to my previous reviews. Good location (in relation to airport, sea, city centre), nice and clean, quiet. Very professional and friendly. Excellent food. Lifts with Greek national music are great! Beauty and massage salon, small gym. Shop for souvenirs, clothes, beverages and snacks - prices like at some supermarket. Free wifi in the lobby. Pools are very clean (robot-cleaned every night).
We were there from 03/oct-09/oct and everything were amazing :reception, restaurant, the rooms und the pool all are just perfect)) , all the staff are very friendly and helpful. Big like to Jene from the restaurant she ist very helpful and she was making sure that everything goes great, thank you Jene, vector from reception was very helpful and all the others ,, the food is just perfect you can find everything you expect....we recommend this hotel und looking forward to come back again, again big thank to all of the staff .
This hotel was in a great location but I found they were nickel and diming us. You had to pay for cappuccino and internet. Might sound petty but this was the first time in our travel that we experienced this. I would rather pay a little more for my room and have this included.
I have just returned from my first visit to Crete and spent 10 nights in the Albatros with my mum, I booked the superior room type which is in the newer part of the hotel. The room was fantastic, overlooked the pool and had all of the amenities we required, originally I had worried we were in a double room but the beds were 2x twins pushed together, we were able to part them and have our own space. Kettle, ironing board, iron, blankets, hangers, fridge, safe were all included free of charge. The hotel restaurant provides a good international menu, we were half-board. Choice of food is good with special dishes provided by the chef each night - meat option etc. We did feel the temperature of the food was not always as hot as we are use to as it is left in the silver serving dishes and we felt there could have been a little more attention made to replenishing food after 8pm as we preferred to eat a little later. One observation was the cutlery, it is not available to take and you have to ask the staff if you are missing an item on the table - i.e. spoon, understandably there may be a reason for not leaving it out but it got a little annoying having to wait on a spoon to eat the ice-cream before it melted. Location of the hotel is good, a stone throw from the beach, shops galore on the sea front and main street, easy to get to port and bus stations for further exploring. Sunbeds around the pool, spa was excellent, drinks are a higher price and no offers like in the local bars Overall a really nice hotel, lovely staff. Free WiFi in some of the areas of the hotel and option to upgrade to 7 day package at 18 euros for access in the room and throughout the hotel. Entertainment on 3 of the 10 nights including a traditional group of Greek dancers and an International singer and band - not expected but pleasantly enjoyed.…
