This is definitely a once in a lifetime experience. Pure serenity, luxury and pamper at the heart of Himalayan Range. Incidentally, this is one of the very few properties in the world at such a high altitude. I had been there for my honeymoon during Feb 2013. Since option was not available in the list box, i have selected May...

This is a unique place. During our stay here we saw no other tourists and didn’t see one aeroplane fly overhead. There are not many places left in the world like this. There is only solar electricity here and wonderful log burners in the rooms. Each room has two glass walls to make the most of the views and the...

Just imagine arriving at the Himalayan Foothills, mystic dust welcomes you and you follow winding roads, exploring an untouched and so amazing landscape - a wide mountain range, pittoresque villages and huge jungle-like forests and centuries-old terraces. From the moment you arrive by train at Kathgodam Hillstation you experience an unique, cared and "sheltered" adventure - all accompanied with the...

My husband and I stayed at Leti after spending 3 nights doing Shakti’s Kumaon village walks and the whole Shakti experience really was amazing. As few tourists venture to the places we visited our interaction with the locals was authentic, the scenery totally hypnotic, the accommodation way above anything we’d expected and the staff charming. I’ll say upfront that “yes”...

Just back from Kumaon village walks & a three night stay at Leti. It was fabulous. Our guide Rohan was fantastic-intelligent, informative & fun. The drivers are expert on roads you can barely comprehend! Staff at all the village houses were amazing & looked after us like royalty. The jewel in the Crown is Leti where all the staff went...

We travelled here as a part of our Shakti Village Walk, and having spent 4 days walking East it was not a disappointment. The travel is difficult, but worthwhile. We stayed 4 nights in Leti 360 and took many walks during the day, our excellent guide Mark leading us, and returned every evening to a delicious surprise cooked by Yeshi...

Remote (only saw 2 westerners in 7 days!) and beautiful with great walks and charming villages. The drivers were expert. Our guide Jamy was excellent. The accommodations were to a very high standard and extremely comfortable (great beds!!) and clean. The food was terrific, especially in Almora. .However though it was billed as Kumaon Village walks, I had to push...

We travelled to Uttarakhand from Delhi - a 5.5 hour train ride and drove for 2.5 hrs to a wonderful "farmhouse". Then a beautiful walk. The next day's accommodation was just as good: great food, comfy beds and the best guide Tenzing Jamyang "Jamy". The next day wedrove 5 hours to Leti at the foot of the Himalayas where we...

NB: This is a really late review. My husband and I stayed here in November 2013. It is important to know the journey to 360° Leti WILL NOT BE EASY. It is in a very remote part of Uttarakhand and will require (1) An overnight train (7 hours) from Delhi to Kathgodam and (2) a 7-8 hours car ride. In...

We had looked forward to our days at Leti more than any other part of our Indian trip - and we weren't disappointed. Other reviewers have captured what makes this place so magical. So I'd just like to mention a few of our personal highlights: the walk up to the top for stunning views of the mountains; playing cricket with...

“There is one cabin with a straight-on view of the mountains/Nanda Devi, but never sees the sunrise or sunset. This is why the other three are - in my opinion - favorable. There are only 4 rooms, and it is normally not fully booked (we were 2 cabins in our week!) so you'll not have difficulty finding your peace.”
