Well, it was for the first time I happened to stay in the fort and I must say that it make me feel like going to the times gone by. This is not 5 star but it provides all the luxuries at a very nominal cost and the speciality remains the queens suit which makes you feel like a queen....

A huge room in an authentic Rajasthan fort. It retains loads of character and we had a warm welcome from our previous visit. Staff can't do enough for you and have plenty of expertise in where to visit in the area. We didn't have a car whilst there and Gopal arranged a jeep for us for trips we wanted to...

When reading the other reviews we were wondering if we have been in the same place... On the good side: attentive staff; interesting location; very large room, with confortable bed. Some rooms are indeed beautiful (we could have a visit). On the other side: no drinkable water provided in the room; bug in the bathroom, bird dejections everywhere, bees/wesps nest...

This fort hotel is actually located in Roopangarh which is bit distant from kishangarh (30-35 km). We were family if two adults and one toddler coming from chittorgarh and needed a one night halt somewhere in between before Delhi and opted for this hotel (instead of going into Jaipur city). The hotel has many rooms but since we were the...

I rated this hotel excellent for the experience in this 17th century grandeur. Although not restored in comparison to the other heritage hotels around Rajasthan, the cracking old paint and the dusty gate gives it a sense of old school charm. Its like reading an old book :) The room(ground floor) we stayed in was huge and the bathroom was...

Compared to most of the forts we visited in Rajasthan, this was not very well renovated. The Fort has a wonderful history, but has not been looked after well. We were sad to see that renovations were more commercial than in trying to bring the property back to the state of its former glory. The staff were not very friendly...

Soggiorno particolare e caratteristico in una vera residenza maharaja. Posto un po' decadente ma pulito e con uno staff semplice e molto accogliente. Ottima cena e colazione. Bella location. Merita la deviazione. We are very much satisfied with our stay at roopangarh fort. The place is really fascinating. We were almost alone, had a very big and beautiful room, with...

Faded grandeur but a ridiculously interesting and charming place. This 17th century fortress has an 18th century palace attached, which has been turned into a hotel. The manager was fantastic and took us out in his car to see local sights and we walked around the small town that nestles at the foot of the fort. The hotel felt like...

My husband and I stayed at Roopangarh Fort as part of our amazing trip arranged by True Luxury Tours. If you want to avoid ordinary hotels and experience the atmosphere of the past, this is the place for you. We stayed in a gigantic room, and I don't recall its name, but I believe it was part of the former harem....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Roopangarh Fort is a vast war Fort and has been over 350 years in the making. It has been painstakingly restored and renovated as a heritage hotel, especially for those who enjoy a sense of history and seek a story from the silent walls. Surprisingly large guest rooms, four poster beds, colonial Indian furniture, open log fires in winter all assure you of a warm welcome. Combined atmosphere of splendid views from the massive terrace and magical evenings under the clear sky with piercing desert music is intoxicating. Add to this modern day facilities and your holiday is truly memorable. ... more   less
